Does anyone have a good tip on how to find a pair of military veterans - without paying some web site $10/month for the privilege?

I've recently come into possession of a 3" reel/tape, it's addressed from a SSGT Yeager, APO San Francisco, to a SFC Yeager, APO NY. The post mark is barely legible, but what I can make out looks like "1972", and "YOKOTA".

I don't have a recorder to play the tape, so I no idea whether its contents are viable - but I'm guessing that the family of these gentlemen might be interested in having it.

There are departments at your local VA hospital that can help you in the right direction to the dept that can assist.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Check with your local Veteran's Affairs office. We did when my brother in law passed away. They helped us put together his service records and made sure that he got the military honors at his burial that he so rightly deserved. I'm sure they can point you in the direction of solving your mystery.
