Nice! I have seen the Vario apache fly, looks good on the ground and in the air. lots of room to detail it to the max.

I was able to make some head way getting started replacing the main gear support wit alum instead of ply wood. And then of to fitting allot of time here but will be worth it in the end.

been looking around for a 64 kit for awhile, nobody seems to do one right. I havent been able to put my finger on why they all look different than the real helicopter. The movies seem to suck at getting it right as well.

The Israel 64s have some crazy stuff on them.

I have had a few other 64 drivers here at rucker say the same thing
Keith, when you know every inch of that machine like you do, it will make it tough. The Vario, Indy and even the Len Mount fuselages have imperfections. You can only choose the one closest and easiest to make completely accurate.

Ah64s is going to be tuff not allot of close up detail allot of modelers do a great job it has to find the kit as for me it was Vario because it is available.I have decided not to rebuild the whole nose just make some changes in the out line .As close as I can
Ps I have a few scale birds but this is the top I enjoy see the possibility of what it could be.

The underbelly of the helicopter is never wright and the front nose.
It should stay half round through the middle as it follows the tail forward. Not have a all flat bottom. I have to say that some detail is hard to mold so some short cuts are needed.
A little bit of hard work and they all will look good.
Great bunch of guys here and we are
all ready to help anyone that needs it.

yeah the flat bottom is this biggest thing I see and the EFABs/canopy are oversized. The Echo model does have a more flat bottom than the D due to the B200 panel now being completely flat but forward of that hase some curve around the gun. Plus aft of that panel back towards the doplar housing

Mine is the rc aerodyne fuselage, 700 size short kit as its called because it is only the fuselage. No wood or hardware of any kind is supplied. Its flying but still has a long way to go. Thankfully living here at Ft Rucker allows possible acess through a few of my contacts.
This fuse also has the flat bottom in the front with no details so i have my work cut out for me. Mounting the stationary FCR on top and making it pan left and right was the easy part. The tough detailing part is yet to come
