The best answer to your question is that everything with Futaba will be fine and all distribution details will become clear very soon. Sit tight and confident.

Dr.Ben,

That is good news! So are you saying Horizon will be stocking it? Tower has not stocked the 750 for months. Perhaps it is too early to tell who exactly will distribute Futaba in the USA until the whole Hobbico situation is settled or do you know?
Clearly I'm not Dr. Ben so you may want to ignore this... But I thought it interesting that the press releases from Hobbico noting that some of their traditional brands had been taken over by Horizon, didn't include mention of what must be considered the flagships of the Hobbico lineup - namely OS and Futaba. I would have thought something as seismic as OS/Futaba moving to Horizon would have included at least a mention if not a parade.

I'll be watching to see what happens.

Hey Bill, given the circumstances one would figure Futaba/OS at a minimum would publish business transition update to let their user community know how they will support the USA market moving forward. But instead there is complete "radio silence." Not a good marketing move IMO. At least we have Dr.Ben providing us what info he knows.

Before inferring too much about the prudence of apparent "radio silence", you might first consider limitations for public comment that may still be settling out by the terms of the bankruptcy and sale.

Patience.

JLF... It is impossible for you and I to know exactly how the distribution of OS/Futaba will go forward. What is certain is that it would be in everyone's best interest to get this train back on the tracks as soon as events allow. I feel the same frustration at not knowing what is to come but I have to believe that OS/Futaba will make their plans known at a time and place that is both good for them and good for us. It's the only logic that seems to fit the circumstances.

They can't sell it and I can't buy it until we get this properly sorted so I assume they're working on it. Hopefully quickly!

Cheers,

Bill

Exactly. I 100% double damn guarantee you that no one wants to start moving product and having good stock in the US ready to sell more than Futaba. This period of ambiguity WILL end soon.

Tower still has it as discontinued. I have been able to obtain several from RCJapan. As of Friday they still had them. Tower deciding to not restock them makes no sense. But that is not unusual :-)

Anyone knows if Futaba CGY750 is discontinued? RCJapan shows it as discontinued, no stock available.

From my confirmation with the UK agent, no it's not discontinued.

I was told that as well over here.

Dr.Ben, do you have update on CGY750 availability as for several months RCJapan still shows item as "Discontinued" and no one seems to have them in stock any longer? Do you know if any are in the new shipment from Japan to USA?

New stocks of 750’s are due to arrive in the UK. in 3 weeks time.
