I went to the Tower Hobbies website and noticed they're saying the CGY750 V2 is discontinued. Can anyone confirm it's been discontinued and if so, is there another Futaba gyro that will be replacing it?

Thanks, Bill

The CGY750 HAS NOT been discontinued. Tower's system does that when there is a lag between something going out of stock and the eta for restock. The 760R is the future, but not yet right around the corner.

That seems like a problem that should be rectified. Out of stock is not discontinued. By telling people discontinued you are telling them to look elsewhere. By telling them out of stock you're saying come back soon.

well ???? Happy Feet !!!

Bad translation:
The Futaba " CGY760R " three-axis gyroscope and the " GPB-1 " CGY760R special setter, which appeared in the 2017 Japan Tokyo model exhibition, finally confirmed that the rumors were true before.

The so-called "reference production" is said to be expected to produce the launch, but there is no timetable in mind, basically can also be seen as manufacturers want to test the market water temperature of a boulder asked the way. And believe that most players still feel strange, why Futaba still adhere to the F3C with the most advanced gyroscope, rather than enter the market population more F3N it?

Simple structure design, the past sensor and the amplifier (set) connection is divided into two parts of the huge volume, and now only one square body, and also has two coaxial cable antenna. It can be seen, CGY760R gyroscope will also have the receiver capacity.

Futaba had dominated the uniaxial gyroscope for a long time (about 20 years), but in the absence of a balanced body with a three-axis gyroscope, Futaba launched a helicopter With three-axis gyroscope has gradually become a small market, such a huge gap will rely on CGY760R to reverse the situation. I think the players are waiting to see ...

Kinda a wish list

1) I hope they are building in BT in the unit. If Align,iKon and others can do so can futaba. Field program was nice 8 years ago. But ans a 4 option it be nice
2) I needs to have full interrogation with the TX for setup and tuning.
3) 6 axis with bailout
4) muli mode, heli,quad,airplane etc

Remember, when it comes to Futaba RC is less than 15% of their business. And in Japan, F3C rules, not F3N.

Futaba seems to always be "last to the market" but when they are the products are right, no using the consumer as "beta testers".

CGY 750
Tower still has it as discontinued. I have been able to obtain several from RCJapan. As of Friday they still had them. Tower deciding to not restock them makes no sense. But that is not unusual :-)

They made the decision to hold on FBL gyro restocking until the arrival of the new 760. Anyone needing a 750 in the meantime do as Alan did and go to RC Japan.

Anyone knows if Futaba CGY750 is discontinued? RCJapan shows it as discontinued, no stock available.

The CGY760R is not an equivalent direct replacement to CGY750. It is gyro and recv combo. If one is only looking for gyro, hence the question if CGY750 is discontinued or further available?

Dr.Ben
The report posted by RC Japan that the 750 had been discontinued by Futaba conflicts with what I was told by the factory liason. Keeping the 750 in production would maintain a gyro option for older transmitters, etc.

I'll get that answer nailed down for certain.
Dr.Ben, were you able to confirm if CGY750 is discontinued or still available?

Dr.Ben,

That is good news! So are you saying Horizon will be stocking it? Tower has not stocked the 750 for months. Perhaps is too early to tell who exactly will distribute Futaba in the USA until the whole Hobbico situation is settled or do you know?
