I think you need something to make your eyes work...

Then you didn't watch the first video on the passive fire tornado.

Common sense tells you that if you put a bunch of stuff around a fire you're blocking its air supply. But if those walls are angled vents then you're accelerating it.

I'll make it real easy...

This has no relevance to nitro engines......

When you get done at the end of your “experiment “ do you pull that device off and use it to smoke your @hit ???

Ok bye,

I'll talk to people with imaginations from here on in. People with even very tiny imaginations can probably make the leap that really hot air behaves with similar expansion properties.

Or you can stay and make fun of me,
I'm oblivious.

I have more important details, should anyone wish to PM me. I've left out a part.

If you were to have tried it as shown, It probably would have died. Especially if you gave it throttle. There is something that has to happen inside the muffler first. This was a problem I had to overcome.

I'll leave it at that.

Oh and my truck is a T-Maxx with a 3.3 if you care to compare visually. Best estimate I found for this vehicle is 45mph top speed.

I'm gonna see how fast I can get mine before I get scared the tires will blow...

You need to compete. If this is a viable performance edge, then get out there and whip some butt.

The racers that I run with are old, mean, smart guys. A whole lot smarter than most give them credit for, but they know performance. And they're right. Performance is the standard.

Race that machine, or give the tech to a modeler that does race. Report back. Good luck.

If you haven't...go hang out in the pits at a model boat race. You'll learn real quick how far behind you are.

I'm trying.
Not a lot of local people running these.

My plan is to give this idea away grass roots style.

I tried to do some speed runs.

This thing is super unstable at high speed (I think I might put an old heading hold gyro on it ). So I only had the stones to get it up to 30mph.

Here's a tear down including the "secret" I hadn't mentioned yet.

Watch at YouTube

Working on a new version that adds forced air to the mix. But instead of being a scoop to force air in the engine the scoop will feed this exhaust system.

Yes I'm planning to use forced air to improve exhaust flow. Yes I know forced air at these speeds and volumes is a joke and could never be a factor as a scoop for the air intake. I understand why this should be another pointless part on another pointless invention.

But I don't think it is.

More to come

Adding a vacuum pressure at the exhaust will only help to overcome the flow restrictions.

In other words running an open pipe will have the same effect.

All engines need some back pressure to run properly in their power band.

Isnt extracting the exhaust gas through acceleration the exact OPPOSITE of what you want to do with a 2-stroke motor? Doesnt a tuned pipe do the opposite?Steve

Did someone already mention that instead of pinching the fuel line, if you cover the exhaust outlet, it will stop the engine?

Good point, but usually one pinches or removes the fuel line to stop the engine rather than block the exhaust.Logo 600SXs, 800XX, TDR IIs
