Fireball oscillatting
I just finished building a stock Fireball with the stock SAB electronics and a Spektrum AR7200BX FBL unit. It will start out smooth in a hover for about 3 or 4 seconds and then it starts to oscillate really bad. At first I thought it was the tail causing the problem and I tried all different settings and secured the boom better but realized after watching it closely that it's the head that is really doing the oscillation. I haven't changed any settings on the speed controller yet because I didn't have the programming box. So I'm wondering if it has something to do with the head speed or some other issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Mark

Sounds like this Fireball has been disappointing. The more I read about it the more I am turned off.

If the head speed is not up to par, it will do that. Do to the stiffness of the head. I believe the esc is ready out of the box. Just need to teach it full positive and negative end points. From what I read. It also could be head gain or mechanical.. Feathering shaft off set in the head.. Is there any slop side to side in the main head or up and down?

Found the cause!
Thanks Anton for the suggestions but I found the cause. I had the FBL unit set for a 140 degree swashplate and not a 120 degree one. there's nothing in the manual that states what it should be and to me, it looked like a 140 degree setup so that's what I set it to. After changing it to 120 no more oscillations and it's really smooth even after playing around with a very low head speed. Mark

LOVE my Fireball. It was awesome right out of the box. Using an Ikon Mini 2.
Possibly converting it to a Comet... just because...

Hobbywing ESC
It's very smooth just like the rest of the Goblin line. Still playing with the Hobbywing ESC setup. Since I've always used Castle ESC's, this seems very strange to me on the governor setup and I'm not sure if I totally understand the correct procedure. It does appear that it is working but I really haven't got to fly it much other then "backyard setup". I did check the rpm on the controller box and it shows 060 x 1000rpm. So just what does this equal in head speed?

Just got mine and looking at the SAB tail servo, What Frequency and Hz are you guys running? I am running a Neo and V-control. Manual says 760fr and 560hz but my radio does not have those exact numbers?
