Bearing Greaser
I’m trying to figure out who sells the Petes Greaser or something similar? I’m not sure if oiling the bearings will work for the long haul?

Thanks

Good luck !

Best bet is to keep your eye open for “the greaser” and snag it quick .....

Maybe placing a classified ad in the “wanted” section may help ....
Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Try a PM to Steve_01 - he *might* know how to contact Pete Schmidt. Pete is local to us, but I don't think he's been active in RC or helis for several years."The helicopter is much easier to design than the aeroplane, but is worthless when done. W. Wright"

Looks like peteshobbies.com went offline sometime after April 25, 2015.

I have a greaser and I do use it but I also have this to say about it...

Using grease is far better than oil.
Bearings are supplied with the correct amount of grease in them to function correctly (except some I have had from Align) and using the greaser will put in too much grease. This is much more important for bearings running at high rpm and maybe it doesn't really matter in our models.

Good luck with your search though as it does at least allow you to get the old grease out and new in. The correct way to do it though is to remove the shields.

"The Greaser" is a great tool for maintaining your bearings. As Andy stated it does fill the race with grease, however, if you run the bearing on an appropriately sized shaft with an cordless drill a couple of times the excess grease is easily removed by wiping off what is expelled from under the dust shield.

I found that I can press grease around the shields. Best part of it is pushing out what could be dirty factory grease.
