video footage from multiple witnesses phone record shooting taking place from more than one floor and from more than one shooter.
RM... I'm not disagreeing with you but have to ask, do the windows on the Mirage open? Surely not. If someone was shooting from a room in the Mirage there would have to be multiple broken windows. I would expect a pile of brass next to those windows. This should all be very easy to verify. I can only assume there would be a bunch of new, gold, broken glass at street level.

I suppose there could have been any number of shooters from other places other than the Mirage.

Surely they can't expect to Neuralyze 20,000 people and explain away all of this as swamp gas and there is nothing to worry about. Surely not.

broken glass at street level.
it wont be at street level... there is a level 2-3 levels that is wider at the bottom... any glass would have fallen onto the roof of the bottom level...

and there were plenty of broken windows... there always is, from rowdy guests, wind, etc... they replace them on a weekly basis.
Surely they can't expect to Neuralyze 20,000 people and explain away all of this as swamp gas and there is nothing to worry about. Surely not.
they made MH-380 disappear, They convinced everyone in Dallas 1963 of a lone shooter as well...

Vegas Update on Cameras (Two of them)
Police just confirmed that both cameras were not recording the event.
*Cough, coughing BS*
OK. Assuming this is true, what was on the cameras? Don't tell me he set up new cameras with new digital storage and never, ever, turned them on.?.? Don't tell me he set up cameras seemingly to record something and never recorded a test video. If they tell me these were new OEM cameras with new SD cards installed, they are indeed weaving a very tangled web.

When and where were these brand spanking new cameras bought? Surely they aren't going to suggest he went to Best Buys two hours prior, bought new cameras, charged them, set them up, and NEVER turned them on.?.? Surely they won't suggest these cameras had NO information on them.?.?

Law enforcement daily confiscates digital storage and is often able to recover huge amounts of information. If the cameras didn't record the actual shooting, what was on them?

Let me guess... they were GoPros but there weren't any SD card in 'em.

Im getting the feeling that this whole thing is going to blow wide open and it will simply be "ignored" by the government... just as Hillarys servers and corruption with Bill and Lynch on the plane with Comey giving the reach around...

Our Gov has become arrogant, sloppy, corrupt and they dont even try to do a good job of covering their tracks anymore thanks to the deliberate stupidity and short term memory of the masses.

Gun restriction coming
House set to introduce "bump fire ban".

I am okay with it, no other restrictions. I shoot better semi-auto anyways. Full auto is fun and wastes ammo.

You treat the government as a single entity, but it is comprised of thousands. Do you think all senators and representatives are going to keep something like a cover up a secret ?

oh hell yes I do... otherwise they will be shot at the next softball game they have... or the next golf game, or shot in the back like a staffer, or their kids wont get into Harvard/Stanford, or mysteriously arrested with drugs, or a pillow put over their face when on vacation... or better yet will simply be outted by the rest of the bunch for individual illegal crap... take your pick. They either protect each other or they are voted off the island.

How else do you think these Senators/Congressmen become multi-millionaires with in two terms of service when they only make $174,000 per year?
In 2015, the typical member of the U.S. Congress had a net worth of over $1 million dollars. The richest member of congress is Senator Darrel Issa (R-CA) with an estimated net worth of $448 million
BTW I fully expect the media to tie this to Russia and back to Trump somehow...

My understanding is that there is a big push to now ban bump fire stocks. Have we confirmed that one was used in this shooting? Would it matter? Banning their use may be the right thing to do- I don't know- but I would like some rational thought applied to the question before a decision is made.

There is no rational when it comes to banning guns or accessories like bump fire. Gov't doesn't care what we want or reasonable logic applied.

Ive never agreed with bump fire mechanical alterations... because bump fire systems are inherently extremely inaccurate and prone to jamming or lockups... the sole purpose is to get a semi-auto to fire in a pseudo-full auto way... just in a more inaccurately held fashion (not that accuracy is good in a full auto anyway). Ive have fired everything in the Army I could get my hands on, MK19, 240B, SAW, M2, AKs, grease guns, (even the Paladin 13B rule!) you name it. and bump stock mechs are stupid.

The bump stock has no other purpose other than to circumvent the full-auto licensing (FFL) restriction and spray bullets in the general direction of fire.

the problem lies in banning such a device... never are such bans a single item issue, the Gov will tag "other" items to any such ban and that could further erode the 2nd Amendment... such as magazine capacity, caliber, style, etc.

...which is exactly what they want to do. And they will use this incident along with the typical emotional reaction of the people to accomplish this.

I wonder if there wasn't as much brass in the room because the gun threw much of it out the window?

This also speaks to the accuracy of full auto...

it varies by weapon...
The shape of the extractor and the extractor pin and ejection port all influence how brass is ejected and where... and these all vary between manufacturer and even slightly between rifles of the same make.

Ive even had different brands of ammo pile up differently out of the same rifle...

Of course you are correct.

I had expected the room to be full of brass but now that I think about it, it very possible went forward and out the window.

out the window... yeah very probable... especially if the shooter is standing right next to a large open window.

BTW I fully expect anti- 2nd legislation is be presented by the end of the month.
Outlawing the bump stock means only criminals will have them
yeah thats' obvious... what isn't are the other provisions in such a law that will also get pinned to it. But the fact is that bump stocks are an extreme rarely in criminal shootings... hell I think this may be the very first one in terms of a mass shooting...
