Guys,

I cannot get the SW to recognize the 3 way position switch on Futaba radio in the Control Mode Setting under Mode tab in the Naza H SW. However the Fail-Safe along the U slider look black and the GPS/Atti./Manual turn blue but I still cannot adjust the subtrim and endpoints on the radio.

Btw should the GPS module be plugged in or not? No servos was connected. The FW is 2.0 as the latest release. I tried to get the U slider to move with only one wire connection from the U channel on the Naza H to the Sbus on the R but not working. The GPS is a Naza M Lite GPS module but the guy from DJI emailed that the GPS module should work. But how?

DJI stops supporting the Naza H so I have to rely online. Also the unit was sent back to me from DJI repair center in the U.S and their email said it was 'tested'. But it still does work in that particular tab.

The setup does not require everything has to be connected, correct? I hope I can make it work asap.

This is what I know for sure. My flybarless gyros require everything to be hooked (servos/data wires) up and powered on.

I am assuming your GPS requires that as well???

Did you set the S-Bus to accept the GPS?

You should not need to have the servos connected. Most likely you need to adjust the channel mapping in the software. Also make sure you have the switch setup correctly in the radio to begin with.

Also, forget about the GPS for now, its only complicates things and should NOT be needed to setup the FBL gyro.

I remembered that all the servos were connected in non-sbus (Futaba R7008B Rx btw) and in sbus (only one single wire as now) modes as well (Rx config change). Then wo the Naza M Lite GPS connected it still didn't work. I watched the DJI youtube clip (wo English and CC), the guy had the same exact radio 14SGH like mine got the SD switch working in any of the three mode switching GPS/Att/Manual by adjusting the subtrim and endpoints on the radio. But I still can't adjust them with mine even the Mode tab showing 'blue'.

Btw I bought it almost a year ago from RCA but so far they have not answered my calls and emails for support or exchange. But the worst case hopefully DJI will work with RCA to resolve this.

I'll watch the clip later on

Invert,

The clip link won't play but what do you mean by setting the sbus to recognize the GPS module? All I did is to set the Rx in sbus mode, chnl 8 from which a single wire is connected to the U chnl on the Naza H. Basically the SW recognized the wiring connection plus blue led light on the led control module, also the Mode tab in the SW turned 'blue'.

Dan,

I agree about only connect the minimum wiring such as led control module and Rx sbus to the Naza H. The same Rx was working fine with other FBL systems so the chnl mapping is correct for all four servos. The 3 way switch was set up correctly too as I've done this in the past since I'm pretty much familiar with the 14SGH radio (all the basic functions).

Are you very familiar with the Naza H?

I'll double check again wo the Naza M Lite GPS. This is the only FBL system with GPS that I can afford now.

I meant setting s bus to recongize the gps on its own separate channel. I saw somewhere regarding that. I could be wrong.

Yes, but I think you need to correctly map at least 7 channels in the NAZA software. Your 3 way switch would be one. I am not exactly familiar, I have set up a couple of these units over the years, reluctantly

Once you have the radio system up and running open the DJI software and go to the channel monitor. You need to make sure all your switches and sticks are working correctly in the DJI end as well. You should be able to assign channels and reverse them there.
Check this out, does a decent job of showing the process.

hey dan, are you trying to confuse me or you don't know what the heck you were talking about dude? Never heard of a special mapping for any fbl and the damn video is useless.

cheers

Mapping is done on Tx. Need to assign a switch to CH7

Go to FUNCTION > 7 GOVERNOR > AUXILIARY 1 > Assign any 3 position switch to it.

Throw assigned 3 position switch to MIDDLE position
Go to SUB TRIM > 7AUX1 menu and adjust (if necessary) for ATTI mode tab to light up.

Go to END POINT > 7AUX1 menu, throw switch UP and adjust end point travel for M mode tab to light up.

Throw switch DOWN for GPS, adjust other END POINT travel for GPS mode tab to light up.

Last one I help setup, the pain I went through was getting a laptop to recognize the software for setting up.

I dont recall having to have GPS connected for above mapping.

Pisto

Not to insult you but I've repeated the steps above thousand times on my radio with countless Rx and other electronics even before setting the Naza H. It is just a defective Naza H unit as DJI repair center lied by sending back saying 'tested' but also said not supported anymore. I'll try to either get an exchange or full refund from either RCA dealer or DJI.

No worries mate. We dont know what you know, so most times we seem repetitive going over basics.

Best of luck on refund or exchange.
