Was out for a test flight, after a rebuild, this afternoon. Had this happened on a heli that didn't have redundant links, it would have been another rebuild. Thank you Bergen for BRS! That's Bergen Redundancy System. And remember friends, always check your balls!

Did someone forget to use loctite and a backer nut ???

That is a good wake up call to check the rest of them for proper installation.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Buyer beware
Yes sir. Bought it used. Didn't check it, thoroughly. Other links/balls have been checked. I may have to fire my A&P mechanic.

Had it happened on my Raptor 30 or X-Cell 46, I'd be telling a different story as those don't have push/pull links on fore/aft cyclic pitch.

Thanks Pal, for your advice. I'll work on my building skills and make sure to check that Loctite. As always, you've been most helpful.

From History Doublah, we learn things. Such as this system was designed BEFORE there was a raptor, BEFORE there was an Align, and the X-cells of the day, while very good, Did NOT have this redundant system.

In full disclosure, there were MANY who had a hand in this design, Including Peter Chao, Gary Wright, as well as my Father, Larry Bergen.

And Yes, it was the First.

Fortunate to have spotted this early enough! Had the loose linkage rod met with an obstruction it would have been quite spectacular! "Redundancy"?!
Gotta love Bergen though!

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!
