Tax Season is a few months away. I am asking anyone with these following Radios to give me some feedback/advise.

Looking at Radios Transmitters to replace my DX6 Gen3

Futaba 10JH

DX-9

JR XG8

I have never owned a Futaba, is the 10JH the best deal in terms of value and options?

nope...

go with a 14SG (if going futuba)... it has everything you'll ever need to include support for FASSTEST, FASST, S‑FHSS, FHSS ... and telemetry if you decide to go that way... there have also been a few in the classifieds going same as a new 10JH.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

LoL!!! Really?

I got a JR 10X in the closet with three 10channel Spcm receivers. Come on! I wave the bigger stick in the FM 72mhz range!

I know this was a joke, funny one never-less!

I would think the only reason so stay with Spectrum is if you fly alot of BNF... or if you already have alot of receivers/aircraft using them.

14sg is an easy $1099 buckaroos, Don't want to spend that much on a radio. Which these hobby prices, I am looking at an 80% loss in a few months. No thanks!

So 10JH has no telemetry?

I will keep the DX7 and DX6 for BNF stuff.

Looking for something for my nitro machines with all the bells and whistles!

I saw some 14sg in classified for $300! I wished I would have waited and hit up on you guys for radio advise! So much has changed in the last 8 years! GEEZ!

My credit was hacked, they have everything on me. SSN, address and everything on my credit profile. All I can do is wait/watch for people attempting to use my credit.

Yeah! There isn't anything I can do until my credit has been used.

Very annoying!

Might as well give you my 3 digit code...

Just make sure you thrown in a 14sg on your next order!

I've flown a DX9 since they first came out. Best darn radio I've ever owned. Going back to 1968 and in no particular order, I've used Heathkit, Kraft, MRC, Sanwa, Tower, Futaba, and Ace radios. I have a file cabinet down in my workshop where old radios go to die.

It would be very nice to see (picture) those radios packed into your file cabinet!

I thought about the DX9, $450 asking price is steep in my opinion.

Used DX18 around $700 to $800...I dont fly something that requires 18 channels. Are there any helicopters that uses 18 channels?

With channels comes features.

The 14SG has 4 channels less than the DX18.

Personally I would take the 14SG over the DX18 as I started with Futaba and haven't looked to use any Spektrum kit.
