Post 15, Fake news. Standing for the National Anthem IS NOT in the NFL rule book.
And on the surface, it certainly appears to be fake news doesn't it?

But as you remember the democrats used the "fake news" cry about Trump's statements...until the facts come out and once again Trump was proven correct.

As you have declared this to be fake news, snopes agreed with you and then later changed their tune from FALSE to MIXTURE. Will they change it to TRUE as time goes by?

Who knows? This is the stuff the internet is made of...truths and half truths. So we can abandon the things we don't know for sure and go straight to the cold hard truths and celebrate these facts.

And the best fact you and I can enjoy is Hillary is still not in the White house and Trump is the President...now, isn't that better than quibbling over silly NFL rules.

Join me in saying: hooray for President Trump.

I loved professional football; no so much any more. I was a long time season ticket holder for two different NFL teams. I was a huge NFL fan. Don't bother me on Sunday. Back in the day I got to know, and regularly hung out with many players on my favorite team. I taught several of them to fly RC. All of those guys were regular people and we seldom talked football. My family had dinner at their homes and visa versa. If they were flying at your field as plumbers, engineers, accountants, grocery clerks, etc i.e without the notoriety of being a pro football player, you would like them and get along at least as well with them as with anyone else at your field.

I have got to believe that many of the guys lined up last weekend were here because they had little choice. Refuse to show up, especially when the owner is there, would be kissing off a mega-buck income. Of course the CNN's of this Country just can't wait to report on our home grown BS to the rest of the world.

Having said that, WTFO! Any sane person would think, if you don't like MY flag, take your mega-bucks and move to a place whose flag you do like. Oh yea - go to Syria on a exchange plan. If NONE of those players who lined up Sunday have the balls to demonstrate that they actually like being in the USA, well.....what a bunch of kitty cats. Based on what I personally experienced, I would have expected a second line of players, standing properly with due respect when the anthem was played.

NF'nL - and they wonder why attendance is dramatically down..........

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Excellent post.

Doesn't take a brain chiropractor to figure that out does it? Like I've heard said...I can't please everybody, I'm not bacon. And the NFL ain't bacon either.

The best thing the NFL could have done was to avoid this. When Tim Tebow took a knee, the people on the left were outraged. Now taking a knee has outraged the ones on the right.

Before Tim Tebow took a knee, the NFL should have had a rule in place about unapproved public displays.

Looks like NFL players are in violation of "36 U.S.C. 301 - National anthem".

§301. National anthem
(a) Designation.—The composition consisting of the words and music known as the Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem.
(b) Conduct During Playing.—During a rendition of the national anthem—
(1) when the flag is displayed—
(A) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note;
(B) members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render the military salute in the manner provided for individuals in uniform; and
(C) all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and

(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.

I'm pretty sure the penalty is a firing squad.

So.......

they can't wear emblems or any type of display for 911 victims,
they can't wear emblems or any type of display murdered police officers,
they can't wear emblems or any type of display for hurricane victims,
they can't wear emblems or any type of display for military members that have paid the ultimate price,
they can't wear emblems or any type of display for military spouses who's
military member paid the ultimate price,

On and on and on...

BUT...

They can make a public display against the flag, the people, the law, the men and women that serve this once great country, those that risk their lives on a daily basis, the people that allow (pay) them to be uneducated millionaires, and the Constitution of the country they live in.

Sounds about right to me.

In the end times good will be considered bad and bad good. Tim Tebow prime example of a great person both on and off the field being crucified by the left stream media for his faith in Godfor taking a knee. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.

Thanks for that you beat me to it as I was just going to post the same.

Total BS on the NFL's part.

Unfortunately when keywords such as SHOULD or MAY as in "RECOMMENDED" versus MUST or SHALL as in "REQUIRED" are used, then good luck enforcing that code.

From the NFL Code of Counduct

"It is a privilege to be part of the National Football League.Everyone
who is part of the league must refrain from
“conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in
”the NFL. This includes owners, coaches, players, other team employees, game officials, and employees of the league
office, NFL Films, NFL Network,or any other NFL business"

Pretty much covers it.

...conduct detrimental to the Integrity...
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brian..._b_7270940.html
The NFL has about as much integrity as Tom Brady’s (allegedly) underinflated balls.
Im still trying to wrap may head around the "public confidence" meaning in a game a.k.a. entertainment. (with no legal ROI)

Maybe if I finally break down and purchase anything NFL, specially in pink (for the wife ), it will enlighten me.

The NFL lives because of...MONEY. Quit buying their crap, they will get the message.

They haven't made one cent from me my entire life.

I overheard a couple guys in the lab this morning, both buy and wear the jerseys, know all the players, team stats, fantasy football,, huge football fans, one is a black democrat. Both are tired of the crap and stopped watching the games. As far as they are concerned Football is out, Hockey is in.

Bingo...it's more like etiquette.
In wake of Trump's NFL comments, Marsha Blackburn files resolution on national anthem etiquette

Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn filed a resolution on Monday reminding Americans that federal law offers guidance – albeit not a mandate enforced by criminal penalties – on how they should behave during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner.

Some useless advice:
Start watching rugby
* USA has been playing in the 15-a-side world cup for a while now and has certainly became a force to be reckoned with - same with the Canadians
* USA has been doing very well in 7-a-side world series and even host ann annual game (I thinkit was Las Vegas this year
* the game lasts 80 minutes - 2 x 40 min halves with a 10min break
No ad breaks during the halves at all , no expert opinion discussions during the halves , just commentary of the play
*Finally , you don't have to kneel for the Nat Anthems. In fact players line up and each team then sing loudly along
