I think you would be disappointed....

How about a YS 60 ? I did a quick search and found at least two vendors with them in stock .....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Like lightning said, you'll be much better off going with a .91 instead of the 55. The 55 has a different case size than the 61/91 engines, and the gear ratio in your 60 would be wrong for the 55, the 55 would not get into its power band.

No question you will be disappointed with a 55 in a 60. Just poke around and you will come up with a 61, 70 or 91 that will work great in a 60 size heli. As was already mentioned, the dimensions, gear ratio and exhaust would be completely wrong trying to use the little 55.

I believe the new YS60s are the same case size as a OS50/55
which is smaller than the old .61s
would need a new motor mount ?
for the new one to line up

ageing is manditory maturity is optional

It's been a few years but I don't recall having any issues with the "stock" motor mounts on the R-60 and Intrepid 60 running the YS 60 motor....

The OP has "60 size" helis so I don't expect he would have any issues with 60 size motor....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....
