wjvail You, as the topic starter, have the ability to change it... Not that it matters. At the time it didn't have a name so . Also I can't seem to see or remember how to change the title?60% of the time, it works every time! |

Why didn't they just use a bigger pinion and main gear!! That canopy looks to clear that main gear by miles so why?!Also looks to have straight cut gears, which is fine, but have they designed this new gear arrangement just to use the existing main gears? 60% of the time, it works every time! |

Topic starter, topic killer! haha.Anyone had or heard of any issues yet with the new drive train arrangement? Looks like the 600XN has it also so looks like they're staying with it.60% of the time, it works every time! |

I have been beating the hell out of mine the best I can and runs flawless I did however break the clutch shoe typical issue, my understanding is lynx is bringing there clutch back into circulation, just what I heard,as for the gear stack if they do it to the 600 I will be buying one most definitely |

Richardmid1 Why didn't they just use a bigger pinion and main gear!! That canopy looks to clear that main gear by miles so why?! Also looks to have straight cut gears, which is fine, but have they designed this new gear arrangement just to use the existing main gears? It's slightly more complicated than just making a bigger main gear. There is not a lot of clearance between the main gear and the torque tube front drive gear assembly. If the main gear got bigger, the aft end of the frame would get longer.Gears are not straight cut.Richardmid1 Anyone had or heard of any issues yet with the new drive train arrangement? Looks like the 600XN has it also so looks like they're staying with it. Very shortly after the release of the helicopter, someone posted pictures of a failure on FaceBook. It was pretty nasty looking and the timing was terrible. There was a hush while everyone waited to see if there would be a flood of more failures. To the best of my knowledge that first failure was the only failure. There may be more but I haven't read of them. In fact, that first incident seems to have only highlighted how little discussion has followed. It's as if some called for everyone's attention in a crowed room and then never said anything. There are a lot of these kits out there and Googling 700XN or searching the forums for "700XN failure" produces very little. "Well, nothing bad can happen now." |

ICUR1-2 If the case was made of aluminum instead of plastic. I would be tempted to buy. It surprises me that this hasn't been done yet. I'm not sure if it is required and I don't know what it would cost but it seems like an obvious "upgrade"."Well, nothing bad can happen now." |

Align quickly released basically a v2 case it's the same except the first bearing on the first gear is alot bigger. If you guys haven't got one I would get it. I have had zero issues with either case. I'm sure a aluminum case will be made unless it's not needed which as of now I don't see it a must. I love this heli! elmobad Do you have a part number to the V2 case? No but the cases are easily identifiable. See posts #72 and 73 here -> https://rc.runryder.com/t823561p4/ . Unless you were one of the first people to order this kit, you almost certainly have the newer cases."Well, nothing bad can happen now." |

Best way to tell if you have old case is to call Align with your serial number. They will be able to tell you, and Its a free upgrade. |

Also there's a hole for greasing in the new case BUT you got to have v2(newer) upper main frame which has another hole that lines up. Not called v2 its not a upgrade. This is only a issue on the first batch of kits like I got. I'm sure by now those are all gone and upgraded. If you have the old gear box the upgrade is free contact your distributor. I have had zero issues so far with idler gears there not getting super hot like enough to melt the plastic or anything.Novarossi Motors U.S.A www.PLanethobby.com Team GrandRc.com Team Byron Fuels ZRC U.S.A. lightningrc Mr Align can you please make metal tail gear boxes please ? :-) Almost all of the tail gear box is metal. I'm not sure what you're asking for. The only plastic bits are the gears themselves and they seem quite durable. "Well, nothing bad can happen now." |

I think he was talking about the front gear box. Which I don't I have seen being made out metal since trex 450 SEv2. I remember it was an issue with the tail booms sliding out very easily and you needed to pad it with 2 side tape. |
