So,

How is glow fuel availability in your area?

What area are you in? What brand is prevalent?

What % nitro?

coolpower is non existent here in uk for hellies, not sure about plank fuel.

Optifuel 20% SLV is out of stock everywhere, it seems everyone has gone to 25% which I don't need or want to as I have all my engines ( hellies and planks) running well..

No hobby shops within a very long drive from here. A long time ago, Byron made me a "temporary dealer" for that very reason. So, I buy RotorRage, of course.

I've run the 20%, 22.5% and 30%. I run the 55% in my boats. It's good stuff.

Last time I bought I ordered 6 cases of Cool Power directly from Morgan. They didn't have any problem doing that and you know its fresh! If you cant swing it yourself split it with a buddy or two.

Team Synergy, Team FBL Rotors-------if its not broke...it will be!

I'm fortunate to live a few miles from a guy who mixes fuel for race car drivers. Just need to phone ahead to order any percentage freshly mixed, cheaper and closer than the local hobbytown.

here in St. George Ut.
Our small hobby shop sells no fuel..so I would have to drive 115 mi. To vegas where I might get CP 15% if they even had any for about 30 bucks a gallon..My buddy and I have been buying Magnum 30 for 21.60 a gallon for a few yrs...we order in bulk and have it shipped to the company we work for.

I do a great decending funnel!

I'm in Reno Nevada and there's a issue! All the hobby shops on the west coast will be having a issue no matter what fuel. Horizon Hobby supplies 99% of LHS with products. Horizon has stopped carrying fuel in the west coast warehouse which is actually in Reno. With that being said they can still get it but HazMat fees apply. NOT CHEAP! This only effects LHS at the moment. There are still many online stores which still carry fuel and it's still available but once again you have to personally pay hazmat fee. I used to buy 2 gallons a weekend from my lhs but now have to buy 4 gallon minimum from online distributor. Sux as I don't always have $160 to burn..... just another blow to the nitro world helis planes and cars ect....

Availability is Great, better than 5-15 years ago, back then I mixed my own for a long time, then did bulk buys with a group of other heli flyers. Local Houston hobby store carries VP Fuel, stocks a good selection and will order you anything VP makes. All at a good price. 20-30 years back the clubs around here all ordered fuel in drums, but stopped for whatever reason.

I am currently running cool power 30% heli mix because while at my 'local' (50+ miles away) hobby store, the guy offered me a great deal if i bought his 5 remaining gallons. Apparently 'gas' helis are not really around any more according to him and he will only be stocking the quarts for the nitro cars he sells. I couldn't pass up the deal even though its not my preferred brand. I have had great luck with the Cool so far. Also, in the past, i have ordered quarts of O'Donnell 30% heli from Tower Hobbies and had great luck with that. You save the hazardous shipping charge on the quarts although it does make for an expensive gallon. I also found this fuel on ebay last year and have heard good things about it from other members on here.
