I am using a Hobby Wing Platimun 100A HV V3 ESC and it does not have an input for 12kHz for my Align Motor. I have used the PWM frequency of 16kHz. Should I go over the 12kHz that I normally use for this motor or select 8kHz which is a lower number?

How about the timing? i am using 15 deg at this time.

Cheers!

All changes in Khz are relate to motor temperature...

Try lower setting to get lower temps...

Hi, in general and simplistic terms :

PWM affects ESC temperature and Timing affects motor temperature. For both values, a higher setting will make for a smoother, higher revving and more efficient power system, but make that component run hotter.

So, you can experiment with your given installation to see what is best. Take into consideration ESC placement, flying style, ambient temperature etc, etc.
