I'm planning on buying a 700X. I recently found a QUANTUM OUTRUNNER BRUSHLESS HELI MOTOR(4530- 450KV) on the shelf that I bought some time ago, but cant remember what it was for. Any thoughts if it would be a good fit for the 700X? The output shaft is 6mm so that should work. The output shaft is approx. 15mm shorter than the Align 850MX that comes with the 700X super combo.
thanks for the input.

If the shaft is 15mm shorter it won't reach the support bearing.

60% of the time, it works every time!

I have an Align 800 F3C in the box that I wanted to build this winter. I opened it last night as I realized it came with the same motor that the 700 Super Combo comes with. The shaft on the Align 850MX is nearly 50mm longer than the Quantum. I looked in the instructions and found just what you said. I didn't know that the kit used a lower support bearing. Neat design. Thanks for the info.

I would not worry about lower bearing support unless doing "hard" 3D.

You can substitute "hard" with any of the following:
Pro; Extreme; Smack; Crack; Stick banging; OMG or even 4D

As long as you have proper mesh and pinion fully engaged, you should have no issues.

From what I've found, the majority of the 700X kits come with the motor. I've only seen one on Ebay that is the kit only, no blades, no motor.
