This is the Third TSA 700 that I've built, but the first E-model. Other than a 450, it's the only electric that I've had. Just got through building it, just need to finish the electronic setup.

Cool. What will your setup be?

Appreciate the interest. My setup is a GY750, with ProModeler servos (160DLHV) and a Castle Phoenix HV120 controlling the Align 700MX. I'm running the 10.5 ratio.

I'm sport flying so this will, hopefully, be a good setup.

Sounds like a nice 3D setup. I just looked up the specs on those servos. They are torque monsters. Very nice. Are you going to run an HV BEC or a separate RX pack? I can see those servos drawing some decent current. Good luck with the build. I'm tempted to try out their 700 nitro.

Can be, but I'm really not into it. I'm just your regular boring Sunday flyer.

Yeah, they're nice servos for the price. I've had very good service with the company, too. Had a servo fail, and they took care of it, no questions. I'm not running a BEC, running a 6V LiFe RX pack. Same I run in all of my machines. It works for me.
Good luck with the build.
Thanks! The build is complete, now it's just button-pushing!

You should!! I've built 2. They are outstanding. You will not find a better deal for the money. TSA is, surprisingly, very good quality machines. Get one, you'll like it.

I just got the ESC programmed..so I may fly this bird tomorrow. Which means cleaning up the build area. So, I realized that there were 2 builds that I did this year. The 2nd 700N, and this 700E.

Uh Oh
Was connecting the batteries for the maiden voyage, and found a bad solder joint. I'm going to have to fire the mechanic/electrician. Idiot.

Maiden
Finally got around to flying the thing. It went as I expected; Smooth lift-off and smooth flight. I reckon I'm going to need some more batteries!

The hurricane passed easily up here, my family on the coast are OK, the weather cleared so I went flying. Glad I did.

It has been fairly nice weather here in MS the past few days. I've been able to get flights in daily. I'm still getting used to it, but I am liking this machine.

I talked a lot of garbage about electrics over the years. I've feasted on crow, and am glad one of my buddies talked me into trying a 700 electric.
