Kits are disappearing, are they being phased out by Align for the 550 version?

Not sure what you mean. I have heard nothing like that. The 550's take a six cell and you need 12 cell's for a 600. Doesn't seam like a replacement to me.
I would like a 550X shaft drive with a flybar myself but I would take a 600. LOL

Well the only kits I can find swinging 600mm blades by align are found on GrandRC and ebay. I have looked around everywhere, they seem to disappearing?

6s on 600 is possible, I currently have the 600xl with Castle 100amp good 11 minute flights or 8 minute flights full 100% power.

It has okay pop at full power.

I just checked and no one has any in stock. Heli Direct has a new 600L and it is not in stock. Pre-Order is how they have it listed.
Is a 600L new? I haven't looked at 600's for a long time. Not a 12 cell fan.

Makes sense that the 600L is the newest version due to listing of parts. Glad I looked around before buying an older version!

Update

Trex 550 is longer by 3mm over the Trex 600 and uses the same Trex 600 boom....so that answers my question!

"Stretch" Align 550

Given, it comes with 550mm blades but when it comes time to replace them, consider 570mm versus 600mm main blades for longer flight times with a 6S.

Even better is using a 5S to tame down these extreme 3D geared beast. Check my blog for more info of such.

That dose make sense. Seeing I like 550 size the best of all, my next heli will more than likely be a 550X. I have a 550L now and enjoy flying it the most. I have one 700E and it fly's great but I hate charging two battery's to get one flight. LOL

Align just came out with the 600l. Gabi g a 12s system in a 600 size heli is truly unbelievable. No way 6s 550 will take over...
