I got a 600e pro dfc 3300mah with booster package 530kv a d my flight times are 3:30 at 2385hs a d 3:20 at 2400hs. I'm getting annoyed is this normal? I've had this kit for a while and beat the heck out of it but at 3 minutes by the time my fingers have calmed down it's time to land! What can I do do get longer flight times other then a 3700mah pack or lowering hs as if I do the tail goes weak due to the mod .08 gearing?

I use the Glacier 3300mAh 12S packs on my T600E Pro.
And, I am getting 5 minute flights

I also have Glacier 3700mAh packs that are a tight fit, but they fit.

I would start with the 3-bladed tail rotor kit for the 600.
That stops the tail from blowing out at all headspeeds
It is about $60 and worth it.
This alone lets me lower the headspeed to 2100.

I fly my T600E Pro with the Align 3-bladed head (550 / 600 kit) and the Align 3-bladed tail rotor.

I also use the MSH Brain 2 gyro.
Combined with the Spektrum SPM4946T "quad-racer" receiver (with its built-in telemetry link to my DX9) and the Castle Creations Edge ECS's real-time telemetry output.
I set an alarm on my DX9 when the ECS reports it has reach 2600mAh used (80% of the pack's capacity).
I don't have to worry about a timer and I don't worry about headspeeds or flight style on each flight.

When the DX9's alarm triggers at 2600mAh consumed (as reported in real time by the CC Edge ESC), I land.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.

Well I spent the whole last weekend with the laptop tuning. I got rid of the tail issue for the most part. My castle settings are..

12pwm
4 deg timing
14 gov gain
2410 governed HS

Also lowered pitch from 13° to 12° I talked to Ben strorick team align he said 330mins is about right. He only gets 3mins flat on his 700x. The kit is a "PRO" version meaning it's meant for high hs and hard smack style flying. I'm still getting a lot of dust from the rear tt gears. So just gonna be wear item I guess. I like the above idea 3 blade tail might look into it. I tried flying 2200hs governed and it just had no power very lazy at LEAST for my flying style...

Flight times
I am up to 18 minutes now with 3998 mah put back in Glacier 5000 6s Lipo 45c pack.

I am enjoying this, also pulled out an old JR 10X PCM system on. LOL

10X will be sent to JR America for AUX 2 repair switch. The align servos died, so I removed and installed Futaba 9451's. Servo failure was on bench, I got blessed than having a helicopter in pieces!

It's perfectly normal to get 3.5 minutes at 2400 rpm on a 600!

You can speed the tail up by using the 600N auto rotation gear and tail drive gear but then you can't go above 2200 rpm. You can still get 2200 rpm to work fine for hard 3d you would just need to go back up to 13 or 14 pitch. Going to 10s will still get you 2200 rpm and you can fit 5s 4000's and your flight time will go from 3.5 minutes to around 5 minutes.

Only way to get significantly more flight time is to go nitro.

That's why I love my nitro it's my learning machine. Electric seems like im always in a rush.... Can u just straight swap auto and front umbrella gears to mod .06 without any other nodding? Gear mesh be fine? 2200HS fine the 750mx has so much tourqe dought 200 hs would noticed to much.... would rather have that then a blowing out tail....

Well i upgraded to the 3 blade tail and i think it runs 85mm but the tail is ROCK SOLID and I'm gonna drop the hs should get another 30 seconds maybe!

Didn't realize you had an AR7200BX on there. Were you running and tail pre comp/revo mix? (parameter F). Id'e say you'd want it set to high especially if you are planning on lowering the HS. Just remember the pitch slider moves FROM CENTER stick when you are checking the direction of it so when going from low stick upto high stick the pitch slider will go from left to right then back to left. It's best to set it on high just so yuo can visually see which way it's moving. You'd be surprised how many people get it the wrong way!

Once upon a time people used to run 2000HS on a 30-50 size for 3D and 1800HS on 90 size.
And that was considered the max HS.
Today pilots are running 2200HS on a 90/700 ......
IMO there's to much emphasis on hardcore 3D.
I prefer long relaxing aerobatic flight times where you have time to observe what's going on.

So after the 3 til blade conversion and multiple weekends on it now I'm truly sold has COMPLETLY fixed my issues. I'm running 2350-2450hs. Full collective hurricanes just ripping tail rock solid also hard flips with big collective pumps no tail kick. No precomp just messed with tail gain and adjusted the governor gain again. Still getting 3:30 seconds of flight. I'm sure if I toned it down hs and gain and didn't smack it around I would 4+ minutes on a 3300mah. All I can say is upgrading to the 3 blade setup saved my favorite heli.

Inverted dude yes no problem. I do notice alot of gear dust and I'm about 40 flights in on the red gears. I've been told to switch back to black as it's a stronger materiel. Not sure on that. But my heli is completly solid now. KARTRACER I'm not sure what your intentions are against me but feel free to p.m. me if there's a issue as this has absolutely NOTHING TO DO with topic....
