Great pictures of modified blades, the sharp trailing edges that is, what do you think?

sorry lot over there accusing anyone new of my identity, I've moved on long ago btw.

Mark, thanks for holding on to this site, many kudos for keeping it real.

I have to agree with the guys over at Helifreak. Your idea that your modified blades are"safer" is complete BS.
Your "logic" could be applied to a table saw blade by rounding the teeth over. Yeah, much safer if you stick your hand in the blade.

And as others have pointed out, a newcomer could look at your "safer" modifications and think it is ok. Do you have a hard time getting your helis out of the house without cutting yourself or what? If that is the case, I hope you stop flying. Oh, go round all of your scissors off too; they're dangerous.

Cause a guy with your superb engineering skills needs multiple user names so as to spread your BS in multiple fashion !!

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

to keep things fair for all here's a bunch of 325's I did 2 years ago when a year before that a pair flown on a 450 were the best pair ever, cheap china made ones being my first rounded tips at that.

they aren't in the pile, those should be example enough. Last year flew something entirely different.

All it "proves" is that he crashes a lot !!!

"crashes a lot"

hehe, when the heli suffers from static, vibes cause gyro to freak, proximity to trees and fences in the backyard leaving very little room for error blades are going to be broken. Never broke a set while flying in a field and besides, two or 3 pairs in a year is nothing compared to some flyers.

Surely an experienced engineer like yourself can avoid small issues as this !

Here is a clue for you ..... don't fly into trees or fences !! LOL !!!

If you can't help yourself then don't fly in your back yard !! Simple !!!

little gyro hicups mostly static and vibes over gain related.

As far as not flying into a tree in the back yard is concerned different wind conditions often caused unpredictable gusts and being a small flying space left a very small margin for recovery. A lot of fails were totally bs. Once I witnessed my 300, which had cut down 325's to 260mm, do a piro flip on its own due to a gyro static hit.

As far as rounded off tip trailing edges are concerned it appears after multiple lengthy searches on the net that slightly rounded trailing tips are quite common, often because of simple safe handling and elimination of pointy objects management, not strictly out of performance dynamics.

I said on rcg that in a radius the square tip of a heli rotor is concave, that is because the radius circle is arced while the tip is square. If you were to elongate the span the effect would be obvious. This makes the blade even less efficient and why most so called square tip blades are actually angled outward toward the back of the tip.

You have no proof to support these claims.....other than what others say "on the internet"....

Get real, dude....

As I mentioned before, I believe you have a thing about pointy objects and getting your heli out of the house without hurting yourself.

you guys don't like the advice being offered? fair enough. The way everyone is reacting on the two other sites is very close to bullying from bull heads that think they can run someone out out of constant negativity, precisely why man has been locked out of full alpha consciousness.

What makes people different is their capacity to be blessed, from Able to Cain, the lord said you will know them by their spots.

forget hobby, if there were something I discovered to add to life that would reap a benefit on a greater scale what is rc to me. Not to say a little rounded trailing tip is anything of great consequence but what if?

and like the rcg topic with this I end the backlash and nonsense some insist on as educational and entertaining.

I don't have to justify myself to anyone, you do it, try, see if it's going to suit you, go for it, end of story.
