BeastX Blade 450X
I made a post in the Blade section but maybe here is more appropriate. Trying to help a friend setup his Blade 450X, I have gone through all the settings and everything is setup to the books specs and seems appropriate. I have to go back through and mess with the CCPM because its acting goofy now but thats the least of my concerns at this time. Issue that needs to be addressed now is, when you tilt the helicopter in any direction, the swash moves in that same direction. How do I reverse this or stop it? I didnt realize this was happening on the bench and once I got it off the ground, it dipped forward and took out his blades so I now have to replace those and his shafts. I have gone through all the menus in the DX8 and cant find anything. What did I miss?

Also, when you work the cyclic in any direction and then let off the stick, the swash stays at that angle and moves back to center very slow, is this normal? Never seen that before but I also don't have the most experience with FBL systems.

Setup step M (Setting the swashplate sensor directions) is what you need to change. There are only 4 options just flick (rudder stick) through them till the swash tilts in the right direction. It's all in the manual.

The swash behaviour on the bench is normal and happens with all FBL systems.
60% of the time, it works every time!

You mention CCPM, but you don't have your radio in CCPM mode correct?

Second, as mentioned earlier, go to menu M, then rotate the heli left/right and ensure the swash tries to keep horizontal to the ground. Then repeat in the fore/aft direction.

To your last question yes, the controls won't respond like they do on a direct control heli because they are expecting movement and whatnot.

Just make sure they all move the right direction and make sure they correct in the right direction, the same way you have done in the past for your tail rotor.
