I'm in Boise right now at the airport. I'm on a fire contract with a UH60. It's a rotation so I won't always be here ( I live in CA where we are based).

I would be interested to see what you find out. I would love to bring out my new FireBall!--/ but the Tower would frown on it (as would I).

I remember reading that Boise had the nicest model flying field in the country. It was a city sponsored and in a park.
That was a few years back.

Put the following address into Google Maps:

3400 Ridgecrest Dr, Nampa, ID 83687

Be sure to look at it in satellite view. A really nice club field. I haven't been there in years but I think it is still there and active...

That seems to be within a Golf Course. I'm impressed, that those two activities get along.

Last time I was there all types of flying was going on, gas, glow, electric, helis, planes and gliders. I was getting some heli instruction. The President of the club lived across the street from me and was into Pattern aircraft.

Nice field. The golfers took it all in stride. Actually, the field is elevated from the golf course quite a bit.

Of course, things could've changed since 2008.
