The neo works great if you have an electric heli and use Vcontrol. Not so much if you use other brands tx and fly nitro/gas or any liquid fuel. Not that it can't work it's just not ideal

Plus the plastic case is cheap cheap cheap and there is no defending that

That may be true....haven't held one....but, it's the "guts" that count...that's my defense....

I got the gun metal gray aluminum case.....and it's of the highest quality and feel, including the "guts"....and there's no defending that....lol

I beg to differ. I have setup the Neo on countless nitro machines with great luck. If you dont take the time to read directions you will have problems. Hell I even had the Neo GOV controlling both Jetcat and Wren turbines off a Vcontrol.

Never said it wasn't possible just not ideal try using a different tx than v control with the neo

Anyway it don't seem right flipping switches for the heli to spool up

But hey even if I used an aluminum v control I'd still be busting balls over the cheap plastic case on the neo. lol

Wouldn't dare put a neo on my turbine

"aluminum case for the neo"

I didn't mean that...meant the VC TX....all RX cases are plastic...

I'm a "neck strapper", so the heavy TX doesn't matter to me....in fact, I prefer it that way...

It is a nice color, isn't it?

The only thing I don't like is the stick ends...and I will say they are too plastic....should have metal ends.

And, they should have long metal stick end options for us neckstrapping, finger pinchers....LOL

And the sticks have 3mm threads for those that need to know....and Esprit has some long ones....except they're adonized red aluminum.

Almost heresy to have a VC with Jeti stick ends....LOL

Do have some very old Futaba 3mm long stick ends....just in case...

"Anyway it don't seem right flipping switches for the heli to spool up"

Why?

I do it all the time....use flatcurves even for normal mode....makes things easier than dealing with both pitch and throttle curves....

Do wish the VC had a longer switch for TH....don't like to take my hand off the cyclic stick when landing by miniARs....but that's just me.

I am surprised the aluminum version has plastic stick ends, the standard version's are aluminum. I thought awhile back I seen long stick end options for the Vcontrol on the Mikadousa website but they seem to have disappeared

They do have optional aluminum ends....but they're shorties....

And, they never have golf shirts available...only t-shirts...

What's with that?......

Gotta have a collar to prevent neck chafing from neck straps....

Because?
Reasons:

1. The cheap cheap plastic case of the neo ( why isn't it plastic like the originals and blue/silverline.)
2. I use Futaba TX's
3. and this is the funny one....Its still a analog heli lol... it has one of those funny bars on top (aka flybar) but I prefer it that way. not many left that can fly FB.

but in all seriousness they came around and made a nice case for the Vcontrol why not the neo. they certainly charge enough.

"why not the neo"

They could anodize plastic....like the door handles on cars....

This is only a factor when the USER plants his machine where it should not be. Put the unit in a protected place, I have 9 and have never once had a problem with the case

(1) A non issue, all preference

(2) Work with that radio easily

Now this part": "they certainly charge enough" coming from a guy who said this: "Wouldn't dare put a neo on my turbine", just makes zero sense to me considering the NEO is probably the LEAST expensive thing on that heli...

wanting/ using high quality components must be confusing.... i mean they could charge more and make it better

this seems to be a cheerleader thing...might ask the OP his thoughts
