I just picked up a set of savox 1250 500 size servos would these work fine on a old gaui stretch 425 head hunter frame running 500mm blades. The only thing that concerns me is it only has 63 ounces of torque

Savox 63 in.oz. @ 6V

For comparison, Aligns 500 servos are rated at:
3.7 @ 4.8V (51 in.oz.)
4.6 kg-cm @ 6V (63 in.oz.)

Given you will be swinging longer blades, definitely power at the highest voltage.

Those torque numbers are the average "standard" servo size ratings.

However, I dont think I would stick-bang them vs avg. 3D

They will be fine. Just run them at 6v as Pete said.

60% of the time, it works every time!

I agree....

Also, I wouldn't run any "system" at less than 6V....

Check out pics #3 & #4 in my gallery. These are pics demonstrating
the voltage undershoot of an SBEC whose output voltage is set to 5V.

The SBEC is a crappy's the internal SBEC of an Eflite EFLA370H ESC. I just used it to demonstrate what voltage undershoot looks like.

And to demonstrate what happens when a large value electrolytic capacitor is connected in parallel to the SBEC output(pic #4).

Most SBECs nowadays have much better performance.
