as you must have your transmitter set with aux2 to gyro, if you want the setting for the gain in the 3gx go to the tx's gain window and raise or lower it there, It was easy to do with my adjustment for a 450 heli both rate and hh modes set to 15 and 1;15 in the dx7. When you are plugged into a pc and are in the gyro setting monitor window there you can actually see the values change. My original setting of 30 and 1;30 in the tx created a 3gx gain value of 60, this caused a tail that was kicking. Lowering the gains to a suggested value of 45 in the 3gx which is 15 and 1;15 was important to allow the heli to be flown. My 3gx is on v5.
Actually, the 3gx gains are accessed by moving the throttle stick to the right and pressing the button on the 3gx. that's where you get to change gains on the 3gx.
Spend enough time figuring it all out and the 3gx can be rewarding.
Anyone have a photo of a lipo directly plugged into a 3gx and also one with an Optipower power guard connected? I've searched topics on the matter and saw no photos of someone's work posted anywhere.
Please if someone has a direct lipo to their 3gx and an Optipower guard 430(?) then please post a pic before I risk frying my 700 dfc destined 3gx. That one came off my 450 that originally had a zyxs2 now back on and doing very well. I think I accidentally toasted one out of two 3gx's I had by not checking where the lipo was being plugged in, it could have been put into the positive and signal pins of the power pins along the bottom of the pin set.
The 700dfc the lipo is destined for is waiting for power and some sats and will be ready to fly after a basic setup similar to the 450 in many ways. I have a CC 2.0wp I can use however once again there are no diagrams on wiring found when doing a search, unbelievable. I have two 4s 1000 nanotechs that can be utilized. The cc 2.0 has a jst and red/black output wires, I can only assume they will be both plugged into the 3gx but that's an assumption without seeing a diagram first, what is with no wiring diagrams for the cc 2.0 available (or am I having another bout of unluckiness).
