mikado Tx
Hi
I am looking at getting a new TX and a makado is high on the list
i also want to use it for fixed wing
I know that you can download v-plane but can you switch between
hele and fixed wing on the tx like the other brands do

It switches automatically based on what model you are flying. With VControl, you don't have to even pick the model. Just power up the VControl, power up the model (whatever type), and the correct model and settings will show on the Tx as soon as it connects with the VBar/NEO in the aircraft.

Kevin is correct.

I just wanted to add for clarity that you must use a Vbar of some sort to manage vplane. It can be it a NEO basic or, an older (black, blue or gray line) vbar updated to vplane and a vlink rx.

There was some confusion in another thread. Long story short, the vcontrol TX only communicates with vlink technology. Either built in vlink NEO or a vlink satellite plus a vbar/non-Vlink NEO.
if it ain't broke, break it.

If you are old school on fixed wing you are not going to get a ratchet throttle.

All of the setup is stored in the flybarless unit. No actual model config is held in the transmitter.

The transmitter doesn't actually switch from model to model it is in that respect a dumb device unlike other transmitters that have to do all the clever swash mixing or elevon type mixing.

Actually Mikado does include a ratchet friction spring bar for the throttle if you want to install it, or at least they did on mine.Logo 700, Specter 700, Goblin 700, Trex 700DFC, Gaui X7, Logo 690SX, Logo 600SX; Trex 470 Trex 500

Or you can get the assembly from Mikado USA....

Mine wasn't ratcheted, but I did have to adjust the spring tension to feel right for me....
