Ouch...

When walking the heli out, before connecting the neck strap, I grip the TX with my thumb holding the throttle stick at low throttle....

Just in case....

Plus, I like these Kontronik ESCs because you can program them to slowly spool up.....in case something weird happens.

I started the thumb the throttle on the nitros and still do it on everything even my planks....even with TH on just in case a switch gets bumped. ....Ii grab it by the head and walk the heli out to the flight line with the tail against my leg in cast of a hot start ....Fly Hard......Team Viagra

That was back when I didn't know what coax, fixed pitch or cp was. Probably be fine now using all gov'd flight modes with soft start plus I'll certainly never forget that lesson lol.

Actually been considering giving pinching a try cause I'm having some trouble with slop stick input during consecutive flips and other 3d maneuvers.

Using a bunch of expo to dial it out but that makes it feel a bit soft/unresponsive for general flight. Think pinching might be the ticket although I tried it once on the sim and it felt sick and wrong lol. Afraid the transition will be like starting over from scratch.

Thumber here, mode 2, top right (old DX7). Always land with a 'mini auto' if im not doing a full auto to finish, getting used to flicking that switch in the air has saved me A LOT of money over the years. Don't have a throttle cut switch, always stop engine by shutting fuel off after landing.60% of the time, it works every time!
