The Man Who Sued the FAA and Won......John A. Taylor Interviewed
Here's the link:

Watch at YouTube

While the AMA only "petitioned" the court, Mr. Taylor followed through with the lawsuit....incurring court costs paid for without AMA assistance. And the CURRENT AMA hierarchy didn't follow through....

There are some in the business that wanted the registration....and is referred to as "pay to play"....in other words, some commercial entities don't want the hobbyists to have their hobby.

And the FAA absolutely knew...for a fact...that what they did was against the law.....and was hoping that no one would argue as John A. Taylor did....and then the FAA would continue to institute even more and more stringent rules as time went by. Even to the extent that to even work on a model, one would have to be certified by the FAA.

And the AMA knew this....

3 judges were involved in the decision....and none ruled against the hobbyists....

Very interesting 30 minute interview....

Should be invited to IRCHA
He may not be a heli guy, but should be invited to IRCHA 2017 right in AMA's backyard.

"He may not be a heli guy"

I'm not sure....but I'll bet he would be very impressed if he did visit IRCHA.

Would probably strengthen his resolve to fight against FAA encroachment.

Also, in the vid, the guy from New Zealand mentioned that over there....flying below the treelines is beyond the scope of their NAS....

Whereas, the FAA has no such thing....anything .0000001mm above the ground is considered the NAS.....totally absurd...
