I joined RunRyder in 2005 after retiring and taking up R/C Helis as a hobby. The amount of help I received in the beginning was invaluable.

But most of all I have enjoyed the Community here. Just like any community some people I enjoy, some I respect, some I avoid. But what Mark has done to foster this community is very much appreciated.

In the past 12 years, I doubt I have missed visiting RR very many days. I expect that after July 1 there will be many times a day when I will bring up my browser then realize I don't have my usual community to visit.

I got back into the hobby ~2002 flying mostly airplane and hanging out at the OLD RCU site. Got hit by the heli addiction and bought a Hummingbird, Blade CP (got one of the first ones off the boat!) then a Raptor-50 and a RR account. I've learned a lot here and put it to good use. RR has been a great place for my RC Heli hobby. 12 years on RR has been a positive for me enjoying this hobby.

Mark, I hope that all the work you've done creating a very intitive and readable web framework can be put to good use on other sites. I would implore you to publish your work under some sort of open source license if feasible. phpBB style discussion boards could take a lesson from the readability and usability of RR.

For me, it's been the best RC Helicopter site hands down!

I've met a lot of wonderful people here and have purchased a lot of stuff from the classifieds without any incident! This is obviously a testament to the great character of the people that make up it's membership.

Praying and hoping the very best for Mark and his future endeavor. I certainly hope the site can go on either with Mark again or new ownership!

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

Wow! I've been offline for a while and just heard about RR shutting down . Mark, I want to thank you for all of the hard work! This site has been my goto Heli resource since 2005. I learned quite a bit roaming this forum and I'm sorry to see it go.
