The lower the head speed the less tail power/authority you have. End of story. Why are we even having a debate about this!
on high headspeed there is lot of torque & tail can kick out fast
check the video; the guy does not do any alteration to the heli & 3D's without a problem
Your right there is more torque from the head but then the tail is much more powerful to handle it! Tail kick out fast? what?!

He has to very carefully pick his manoeuvers and be very gentle at applying collective, that is how he is able to 3D it.

60% of the time, it works every time!

End of story.
for lower headspeed reduced tail push is enough

Your right you can get away with it if your careful or if it's not too windy but speeding the tail up allows you to fly much harder!

but speeding the tail up
less load on the main rotor & more easy with the tail
the punch out is not as powerful but the tail is steady
btw; Hughes full scale made a 269 model with high RPM tail & did not work quite well [too much air velocity] & was very noisy, the standard configuration was better

think
watch & learn the included video about aerodynamics
the OP's heli works & so does the video heli too
equal action~reaction regarding torque
so what's the problem?

Your right you can get away with it
power ratio
A helicopter with 9,500 horsepower might require 1,200 horsepower to drive the tail rotor, while a 200 horsepower aircraft might require only 10 horsepower for torque correction.

"check the video"

What?

The video proves absolutely nothing....could be staged...etc.

No one can x-examine a video to ascertain its veracity.

The Synergy's have much higher tail ratio's than any other which is why they have better tail authority at low rpm.

I saw no 3d in the Align 800 video!

Try Matt Botos's low head speed flight with a Trex 600L (1:3.85 tail ratio) and see how far you get!

There is a way round it with Aligns and that's to install the tail drive gears from the 600 or 700 nitro.

60% of the time, it works every time!
