I am not the absolute final authority on this, but I am pretty sure the gear count on the tail boxes has never changed
The umbrella gear's tooth counts have always been the same.
The tail drive gear ratio is changed at the front - the autorotation drive gear and it's matching tail drive gear
Also, there is a new set of tail drive gears that spins the tail reverse of the traditional (I have no idea why)
The different tail boxes are related to the size of the tail rotor drive shaft diameters (5mm vs. 6mm), "DFC" vs traditional control arm and the pitch slider bearing (the FC style is needed for the 3-bladed tail rotor hub).
There are also 3 different materials that were used for the umbrella gears (white, black & now red plastic)
I don't know why the Black Shark uses the Align H70108. But the description is "H70108 - Tail Transmission Gear Box(Black Shark)" which seems pretty specific.
