So I'm working on a super scale AS350. I've work thru a few issues and finally got the mechanics in the air (I was alone so sorry no video).
The disk looked funny, not ha ha funny, just not right.
Tracking off, must be, but it doesn't look like it is????????? and I set it up with a Soko heli tool. That thing never misses on setup
Bent main shaft, nope, just did the goblin main shaft thing and that looks good

So I strapped it down on the ground and ran it up at 50%. it looked like one of the blades was flapping or moving in and out. Well, one of the blade grips is loose and farther from the center of the head than the others, Thats a little scary
Nope. measured it fine. All bolts still tight

the paint is off on one blade by about 2 mm.
drove me nuts for a while, but I'm better now...
I thought this was funny and wanted to share..

If all else is running fine thenI'm guessing it's the uneven paint job that's making everything look out of sync, especially when operating at a few hundred rpms or so.

Match up the paint line on that odd blade so it is the same as the others and try then. Things should look a lot better. (Don't forget to re-check the blade balance after)

I'm only here coz I'm not all there !!

Could just be a bad blade.

I'm going to add some pin strip to all of the blades to even it out.

Well.. a 50% throttle spool up while secured to the ground will drive the fbl controller crazy so you will see high / low blades. If your going to check it do it at flying rpm. I don't think that misaligned strips by 2mm is going to cause that big of a visual difference. You say the blades are tracking right.. so is the heli shaking or is the blade disk wobbling back or forth or right to left? In flight is it not handling right? Or is it flying good?

Nope, it was all in my head..
Applied some pin strip to help line up the stripes and every thing is better now.
I've always heard that different people focus on different parts of the helicopter as a reference point when they fly. Some on the disk, some on the tail, some on the skids, but I had no idea that I focused on the top of the disk that much when taking off and landing.
Just thought this was kinda goofy and wanted to share.
