I thought that I had figured out the Pro version and had setup normal, idle 1, and idle 2 throttle curves with the bank switch on the vbar governor through a Hobbywing 60A Platinum ESC. I was trying to setup the bailout for autos but the Pro version didn't seem to have all of the bells and whistles to set it up so I purchased and installed the Pro Rescue on the Neo.

Now the Neo will not bind properly to my Spektrum DX18 Transmitter. The transmitter will say that the bind is complete with DSMX and 11ms and the sats will log in but the Neo light flashes red and the collective will cycle up and down for 10 or 15 secs.

It is really a problem that Mikado doesn't have a comprehensive guide for all of the features of the unit and software. What videos or documents that I find are not even about the Neo or on an older version of software. That makes this very frustrating. What's even more funny is it seem that the Pro Rescue version does even have any additional bailout features.

Anyway does anyone have any idea on the red flashing issue that I current have and maybe a good link to learn more about this system?

Try connecting a separate dedicated rx battery on a switch, use this to initialize the gyro and connect to the tx, then plug in the flight power battery.

I was have a similar issue with many different variables, and the rx battery revealed the problem for me. My bec was not providing enough voltage fast enough to initialize the neo.

Share your results, please.

Rescue is not the same as auto bailout. The pro settings are the same as the pro-rescue except for the rescue feature that levels the heli and makes it climb.
The error you're having is common. The rescue does a precision initialization on the NEO startup. Ther error you're having is that this precision startup is showing a sensor out of spec.
Mikado is working on a fix for this ( I believe ) but to fix your current situation, you can go in to the Setting and select normal initialization ( something like that ) and that will fix your issue.
I can't say I know how to do that for you as I use a VBC Tx and know where to do it through that. I only hook my NEOs to the PC for updating.
I have one that did this and it still works fine. Once Mikado gets this worked out, I'll send mine in.

Thanks everyone for your advice!

Some of my answers are on the "Swash Pro tab" in the Setup VStabi application. I first tried turning off the "Precision Initialization" checkbox. The unit continued to have same initialization issues. During one of the reboots, the error event logger came up. I went to the logging page and it stated there was a horizontal sensor initialization error. On the "Swash Pro tab" there also is a button "Calibrate Horizontal Position". My Neo wasn't installed in the helicopter yet, since I was still setting the heli up, so I placed the Neo on a level surface and put a center bubble level on the top of the unit. I then did the calibration in the software. After that the unit is successfully starting (Yes!)

My other problem with the bailout is getting the motor to spool-up more quickly. That I am still trying to workout. I will also need to program the tx for the Rescue Mode.

Maybe this post may help others with the initialization errors.

Thanks again for the help.

That is what it is supposed to do. When attempting an auto and you want to bailout of it, you want the Spoolup rate to be quick so you stay in the air instead of landing the auto.
when you do land and want to take off again, switch to "motor off" before going back to "motor run". This will give you a normal spoolup rate.

Ronald,

Thanks so much for you time and instructions! Very Helpful!

After the next reset, all of the setup parameters in the Neo were already completed and ready to go. I just need to route the wiring and balance the helicopter and I'm ready to go.
