JR Helicopters
I forgot to mention JR Helicopters. Last week, I went to a hobby shop in Seoul. They had two Air Skipper 90 helis hanging from the ceiling. I couldn't help but marvel at the elegant simplicity of the design of JR helicopters. It's a pity they won't be making any new ones. I never had one but I've always wanted one.

Just curious, but where is Bacolod City in relation to Corregidor?

Is it on Luzon?

Bacolod, Negros Occidental
It's south of Manila and Corregidor. It is in the Visayas, same latitude as Cebu. Central Philippines.

Ah....Cebu...I've heard of that.

But, I can't keep up with all the islands there.

Aren't there about 7200 different islands in the Philippines?

It's sad folks. Here we are going into the 2017 season with no helicopter parts support and the only receivers are a few leftover new stock, available inside the USA.
My "Dear JR Letter".
Sorry JR, I have been a steadfast customer for 20+ years but now you are motivating me to move on. Good luck and thank you. I am hoping we will see each other again in the near future.

There have been large deliveries of new JR stock at RC Depot in Japan. They are only a wholesaler.

They may be worth contacting for supply options.

I'm still hanging on to my 12X, best radio I've ever owned. But even if they made a new version, I'm not going to buy all new receivers. The split with Spektrum killed them.

I'm still using my JR12X.....but am now using Spektrum DSMX satellite receivers, since the JR DSMX RX's have been discontinued.

In fact, I have 2....just in case....

" I'm not going to buy all new receivers. The split with Spektrum killed them."

Well in my pinion the UNION with Spektrum killed them off. Spektrum did not have the resources to build a transmitter and enlisted the help of JR. Then when Spektrum had enough resources to build their own, they dumped JR. Capitalism is a bitch. And JR even developed DSMX for them - called DSMJ.

Is Spektrum going to do programming of a the FBL unit from the transmitter, Color Touch Screen, Graphing of Telemetry data so THEY can keep up?

JR is toast, but so are Orbit, Kraft, EK Logitrol, Cannon, Citizenship, Bonner, RS, S&O, Proline, Controlaire, World Engines, ... , and I did not include tubes, reeds, galloping ghost.

Really????
JR is toast
Come on now!!! Just because you don't want to change your rx's doesn't mean that JR is "TOAST"!!!

There are plenty of new problems showing up with the Spektrum equipment, since they have gone on their own... but I am not going to BASH them..

I have sold my DSMX 12X and am now completely on with the new JR DMSS and very happy with it... no more sat's to deal with and the most solid link to my models that I have ever had...

JR is moving into the commercial radio market, but is not out of, or going out of business... Like Futaba, the hobby industry is just a small part of their overall business plan....

Sorry to hear you don't want to switch.. but I will trust my High$$ models to JR as I have since 1990....

Just my 2 cents....

Stan

AND YES, I am on TEAM JR and glad to be there....

Well Stan:

I have all JR DMSS equipment now and intend to keep using it. But I am not a team JR guy so don't have to pretend. Team JR is not going to convince anyone that they are coming back. All of those old radios that I mentioned (and owned) were sold to someone who was going to reorganize. None of them came back.

My Error...
Four Stroker,
I thought it was you that said JR was toast, and I apologize for my error..
I know you have no reason to pretend liking something, and I am the same way, team or not...

I'm with Stan/doorman!

JR is still with us. Receivers and other items are coming in (I got a second 28X recently).

I know some things have been tough recently but I am also tired of people believing the rumors and amplifying them.

And yes, I too am a JR Americas Team Member (and d@mn proud of it).

I have been flying JR since the early 1980's and it is still the best RC equipment out there!

I'm dusting off my hobby equipment after a long hiatus (~8 years). My XP9303 with a Spektrum 2.4 module is still the best TX I've ever had the pleasure of using.

With that said, holy s**t, I can't believe how much has changed in the interim. Pretty much everything is different , to the point where I have to search for items that were once in abundance at my LHS. I knew quads were popular and all, but they're apparently the 'coyote' of the rotary flight hobby; they've multiplied and affected every aspect of the "ecosystem"!!!
Apologies for the off-topic post; hope JR is still gonna be around for the long haul ahead.
