A Great Loss
Dennis Purduski passed away last week. Dennis was a long time AMA competitor and a 4 time national champion. He was the F3C Team Manager for the 2015 World F3C Championships in Austria.
Dennis also was involved in experimental aviation with his modified VariEZ. He had plans to race full scale this year and was finishing his plane for racing.
Dennis was well known in the RC helicopter community and everyone spoke highly of him. He was a very good friend of mine and I will miss him a lot. we had traveled together and spent time at each others houses. He is the main reason I got involved in full scale aviation which has given me great pleasure. We spoke weekly and texted pretty much daily.
On a dog sled team, if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes.

Yes, Dennis was a great guy and always fun to be around. Sadly for the 25 years or so that I knew Dennis I never got to spend any time with Dennis away from R/C helicopters. Always in a great mood and happy to be at a contest with the rest of the guys. I will miss him a lot.

I am a loss for words.

I first met Dennis over 20 years ago at Tom Doolies field outside of Atlanta. At that time I quickly found enjoying spending time together. It just wont be the same being at an event without him. It's tough just thinking about this flying season without him a part of it.

Another big loss for the hobby and far more for many of us.

I met Dennis at OHB a couple years back. He struck me as a great guy and real advocate for our hobby especially with his involvement with competition. Sad news. Best wishes to his family and friends.

Dennis was one of my best friends. We roomed together at most events and talked long into the night. He had a contagious laugh and a real sense of humor. He had a genuine concern for all of us, a thrill for adventure, and a zest for life to the fullest. I've had him on my dirt bike and even in the cockpit of a 757. We were building EDF jets together. His knowledge and wisdom I treated with great respect. A great listener and friend to all. A very keen mind. No event will seem complete without Dennis there. To his family and friends, my condolences. To Dennis: Blue skys and Tailwinds my friend!

Going through my gallery to download everything before RR shuts down, I came across these photos of good friends. RIP Mike, Paul, and Dennis.
