Mikado Logo 550SX ordered... The ONLY thinks thats sux is the limited motor chouces. Scorpian and Mikado teamed up to design a bolt pattern that forces most of us to pay the silly markup on there design. PICK ONE BRAND FOR 550 600 CLASS ELECTRIC
I really really like my Raptor E550 tri blade ... Strong looks , easy to wrench on , a blast to fly and the sound !!!....the sound of the three blades is beyond cool.

BUT..... the LOGO 550 , in my case the SX i know will be my daily flyer and i think i will be glad i picked it over some others .
For the record , i do not meam to bash any other bramds...i have owned several others and they were excellent machines ..my Align 500 and 450 were excellent.

All you need is a motor with 30mm bolt spacing and a 5mm shaft.....nothing else is special for it...

I have Synergy, Compass, Align. E5 is on a different level, but the others are lower in cost and can be tuned to fly well, E5 flys well across a wide range of setting/head speeds ect... Was a 12s 550 I'm going to try 6s this season.

Find someone to machine a motor mount for you. It is not that hard to do and then you can fly whatever motor you want.

Align
I'm a newbie as far as electric and FBL are concerned. Still groping and hoping for enlightenment. Under the circumstances and in my corner of the world, Align is the practical choice mostly because of the practical accessibility of their 'Super Combo' kits. They certainly aren't cheap in the long ng run but get you started at reasonable cost.

I have been a long time user of Hirobo but my last exposure to them are still flybar and nitro. I still fly them, and SDX and EXII. I look forward to getting a more current Hirobo in the future and maybe even venture to try what I would consider more exotic stuff such as Synergy but for now, I'll be grinding my chops with the vacuum cleaner brand from Taiwan.

My number one heli is of course an E5 , not a fan boy but you gotta notice a lot of happy Synergy pilots. I have nine brands of heli's that I fly so my choice is by experience not speculation.

Cool thing about the E5 is that if you get tried of it as a 600 class, then it'll stretch to a 700 as well. The mechanics run for ever and ever with only routine maintenance. It's bomb-proof.

I find it interesting that one who has never owned or flown a particular brand can dislike it without first hand experience. I have owned a few different brands and my N5c and E5s have been nothing but reliable.Team Synergy Field Rep Team Xpert Servos

Synergy
I've owned and flown them all, and when it comes to customer support regardless of the model being flown, Synergy guys are always there to help. That is what sells. The machines are well thought out and even more well built. And like the guys stated, you have so many options with the E5 platform. No doubt the company is solid and has staying power. As a whole, I have been lucky to meet and become friends with many pilots who fly other products, it's all good. I like seeing good competition between manufactures, regardless of what models we fly, it stimulates innovative designs that keep the enthusiast engaged. Color post no doubt..
