So, are you a plumber or a pipefitter?

I did my apprenticeship as a plumber, but have worked as a Pipefitter 85% of the time. Pipe / tube from 1/8" to 80".

What do you do?

What do you do?
I just suck up as much SS and Medicare as I can before younger people retire.

I'm a retired mechanical engineer and spent the most of my career in process design.

I've worked a little with plumbers, but done a ton of work with pipefitters everywhere from Chicago to Texas to Georgia.

Lots of black iron and stainless steel.

Fun work with skilled men (never saw a woman in the trade).

I have a lot of good feelings for those folks...good solid Americans that contribute to this country.

Cool. Enjoy Retiremet ! Yes there are women in the trade nowadays some good women welders too. I've done most of my work on the right half of the country as far west as Wisconsin but have worked with Engineers and tradesman/women from everywhere in the country and a lot of other countries too. When I get better, I'm hoping to land at a brand new Cogen fairly close to home.
You do power houses?

I don't but I have a friend that moved to Tenn and he talked about buying an abandoned water wheel to generate power. Evidently there were a few available in that area...he is an electrical engineer and liked to dabble in that sort of stuff. A car accident kept him from doing it.

I would love to have a windmill, but my property just isn't situated right for that. I don't get excited about solar power, but things may change as solar panels improve.

If I were to build another home, I would build it with a windmill planned in.

I guess I should have asked if you're talking cogen for your own home or to sell to the power company?

Wow,that all sounds cool. I meant work at building a new cogen (job). My Father has solar panels, because electric is the only utility available.I made a mistake once, but I was wrong?

If you are going to...
Question lands annexed through war and the UN has final say, then what about the lands Russia and China have taken? What about the Good ole U.S. of A, herself? Sounds like the UN may think we need to give it back to the Indians. The truth is that they(the powers that be) only give back or keep what ever seems to be in their best interest. The decision against Israel is in trying to placate volatile terrorist nation but in the end it will just be a stepping stone to possible full on genocide against the Jewish nation, again. Israel has been our finger on the pulse of middle east for a very long time now, unfortunately a necessary evil if you want to call it that. We have used them for our dirty work as much they have used us, pretty even trade if you ask me. There is much more depth to this rabbit hole then many are willing to look in to.

That handsome bastard is me. I am forced to agree with you it is a very nice plank. 170cc dle futaba, radio and 6014 receiver, eq6 smart-fly and mks 767 servos all the way around. I belonged to labor unions until i joined 798 for a couple of years as a helper it payed reel well but like the labor jobs i was on the road living out of motels all the time. That and pay the yearly dues got old. Much happier working at my own pace.Rush 750, cc160hv, vbar silverline

OK Jerry, here's some more fun:

What's the diff between a fitter and a plumber?

..
..
..
The plumber puts his face, where the fitter puts
his ass!
