HITEC AURORA 9X
just had a aurora 9x stop transmitting to my trex 700 turbine on the work bench, i checked the battery pack in the transmitter, it is a brand new pack, and voltage is spot on. the servos on the trex all went to one end and lock up, on inspection through the monitor graph could see no bar,s at all. switch radio off and back on and it would not let me go to transmit, but condition warning turn all switch,s off etc, did go through this many times to see if i had set a switch the wrong way or a channel wrong.so now i tried a second helicopter and had all servos went mad! checking the monitor, found the same thing. so i got my three year old aurora 9 and gave that a shot, it worked ok. so rang the hobby shop in melbourne where i purchased the radio from and was told to send it back as they think that one of the circuit board is faulty! so the man said to me, (if you get a flat tire on your car, you don,t stop driving.) but you don,t crash and burn!.so i have had to buy a new hitec aurora 9x to keep flying while the supplier gets my radio in the mail, and then tinkers with it.i have 12 model plus, with hitec optima receivers in them, and now i am looking at a large cost for me to go to other radio system that will work with out any fault,s. i am still shaking in my boots after that happened. so what now.

A few of us had issues with our 9x radios in my local club. I lost faith quick in mine and made the hard decision to go futaba. No issues since but futaba is one of the harder radios to learn. I have used most brands and now happy I did switch. Sorry about your luck.

yes thank you as the model is worth a fair bit of money, and i think i will look at jeti radio systems. but to replace all or ten of the receivers in each model will cost a bit also the time to learn the new system and programming the model as well.thank you for the reply as you don't hear a lot on 9 and 9x radios.
