Well I finally found and bought some more pieces to move further along with the Cobra. Thanks to rcpilotmike and Ebay I'm almost there! I removed my original decals from Callie graphics because they were a bit too big and I noticed she used to different shades of yellow. I reordered and she did a great job taking care of the issues. I have a couple more to apply along with the wings on the side of the cobra. Got my tail rotor installed up with servo and mechanics are 99% complete. Because of the plastic pilots, the normal servo tray in the GMP cobra had to be lowered, which means re-engineering all the linkages and their movements. It's a slow process but I'm enjoying it. The cobra originally had GMP mechanics with a Schulter rotor head and no flybar, I'm guessing to make it look more scale. I got rid of that rotor head and went to the GMP custom head to make it more flyable. But I noticed the main rotor blades are weighted. Does anyone know if weighted blades can be flown with a flybar? Does it make any difference? Or should I go back to the original Schulter head with no flybar and just install a 3 axis gyro? Thanks for any help.

Tom

Update on the Huey Cobra
The weighted blades will work fine with the flybar. Back in the day the wood blades all came with weights to add to the blades, and they could be weighted more for more stability and better autos.

As to the heads, I would certainly opt for the GMP head, which was made by Hirobo, and is excellent. If you want to go FBL, you could try to find a GMP Legend FBL head. No matter what, with a flybar it will still look great in the air.
