You can't use the flybarred pitch gauge, so how do you do it

Digital Pitch Gauge
Yeah, I have one of those but it doesn't seem to be very reliable, i was just wondering if someone had a better way of doing it

I don't understand your comment:
You can't use the flybarred pitch gauge
I guess I have used my RC Logger digital pitch gauge on my 2-bladed FB heads, 2-bladed FBL & 3-bladed FBL heads.

The reality is that if you are within 0.1 or 0.2 degree between the blades, you have essentially perfect tracking.

Also, the old trick of folding the blades back and touching the tips is still a pretty good "backyard mechanic's" trick.
When the tips touch, those 2 blades are almost perfectly in track.

I also use turnbuckles instead of simple threaded-end rods for my swash to grip linkages
You can get them in different diameters, different thread pitch and different lengths.

Check A-Main and look for the "Lunsford" branded "Punisher" Titanium Turnbuckles.
