What is the easiest most fool proof (I mean like big time fool) FBL system to get.

Cheers

Vbar has a wizard that literally walks you through each step. If you ever wonder what a parAmeter does, just hold the mouse over the item and an explanation box will pop up explaining what everything is . If all else fails, I know a guy who provides free phone and email tech support that can and will walk you though the whole process

Many have copied the Vbar in setup and hardware....none have mastered the FBL unit like Mikado

+1 on the Brain/iKon. The panels on the left in each setup tab explain what to do and if you hover your mouse over a parameter it gives you the detail on what the function does and the default setting.

Here is a link to the setup software if you want to check it out in demo mode.

Brain is pretty easy to set up, just read all of the instructions in the side bar.

I use a 3digi, and it is equally simple.

Some people think the Beastx series of FBL's are simple because no computer is needed. You use buttons on the FBL that correspond to blinking lights. I prefer computer.

If you choose to go the Vbar Neo route, you will also need to buy a $700+ radio to use all of it's capability. You also have to pay extra to unlock all of the features on the Neo.

Ide say none are easy the first time you use them!

After getting used to them for me it has to be the BeastX, I can literally do a full setup in 5 minutes, even at the field.

The BeastX manual is 32 pages which is written in very good easy to understand English and after going though it once you only need the 'cheat sheet' on page 32 (AR7200BX).

There are setup steps A to N, easy if you know your alphabet!

4 status LED colours, Off, Purple, Red and Blue. Red and blue can be either flashing or solid so you have 6 variants in total.

You move your rudder stick in either direction to change the status colour which will correspond to say swashplate servo frequency or tail sensor direction (Red-normal, Blue-reversed) etc. then press the button on the unit to go to the next parameter (A, B, C, etc.).

It really is THE most well thought out system that DOESN'T require an external device for setup.
If an expert wants to swing by my place in Southern California, I have beer!!
Feel free to PM me any questions you have on the BeastX.

The MSH Brain / iKON are well supported and easy to setup.

The latest are the Brain 2 & iKON 2.
The Brain 1 and iKON 1 can be found "For Sale" on all the forums.

There is no fiddling with the settings before the first flight. If you follow the step-by-step Wizard screens on the setup application, the default gains will get the heli off the ground successfully the 1st time.
Then, you can leave them alone, or tweak to your heart's content.

The Brain & iKON are identical except for the color of their cases (black vs orange).

Some people think the orange case makes the helicopter fly faster.
I think the black case makes the helicopter look cooler.

The Brain 2 can be bought directly from mshusa.com and they are based in the SF Bay Area.

In addition to the stock USB port, all the MSH gyros have options for bluetooth and an application that runs on iOS (Apple), Android and/or Windows PC (with BT module).

Also, MSH has been working overtime on new features and functions.
They are included with each SW release (there have been 2 major updates in '16).
The biggest update was the addition of Rescue. Some people buy MSH simply because of that.
And, there are no additional charges for any of the features they add.

I would highly recommend any MSH product.
