FBL controller
What is the easiest flybarless controller to set up? I would like to find something so simple an idiot could do it, I include myself in the idiot / lazy category.

Cheers

how many blades on your head?
I would suggest you focus on the useful stuff like electronic phasing (although most newer units have this function), perhaps some self levelling (like SK720 or NAZA), maybe a functional GPS unit (again SK720, NAZA or something similar)...
maybe you need bail out function (although in scale world this is rarely needed ... Bavarian Demon)...

not knowing what TX system you use maybe you are after the FBL and TX integration (so you can set all the parameters in your TX)...

some people complaint about having to use a laptop in the field to set-up FBL parameters... I personally find this easier that messing with blinking lights and pressing buttons... but this is your personal preference...

I know I was not much help but once you answer these questions (to yourself primarily) then we can start throwing ideas and bragging about our equipment

as a beginner myself the Spartan vortex vx1e with datapod is so easy to set up. the website has step by step videos as well very simple to follow instruction.

My trex 500 is a joy to fly as is my trex 450 which has 4 blade ccw head and raised tail.

I am admittadly a Futaba fanboy, but I found the Bavarian Demon 3X to be very easy to setup.

goodhunting makes excellent points in that you need to make sure the unit can do what you need it do.

I have no experience with vbar, but as I understand it, they have wizards during the setup that literally walk you through the each step.

I wish I could help.. I SUPER struggled with my CGY 750 but I don't think it was so much the unit.. BUT ME..

I had Nick help me tune it this summer and then Gary Wright and Chris M put the final touches on it.. with out that I would have been LOST.

I did (just for fun) buy a 3Digi to play around with.. I have not put it on the machine yet but it looks easy..

flb system
I have 8 century scale helicopters with microbeast's in them and they all fly great. Microbeast is easy to set up and you don't need a computer. This is the only system I've used so I don't know how they compare to others, but this one works well for me!
