I put a brand new fuel tank in my Trex 700N, and it is leaking from the stopper on the front of the tank. Not the fuel line grommet, but the solid plug for the extra hole in the tank.

What kind of sealant can I use on the plug that won't get eaten away by the nitro?

I use Yamabond on that type of application. You can find it online, or at any Yamaha dealer. But, I believe most high temp RTV's will also work.

I had the same problem with my Trex 700 nitro,I put a hex nut inside the rubber plug, that way the seal is much tighter around the plug, been flying that way for a long time.
I fly moderate to smack 3D on my Trex 700 nitro,so far its held up.

Thanks for the suggestions....

I have some Permabond RTV Red curing up now. We'll see how it holds up.

The plug from Quick UK looks nice.....

Put an used fuel line grommet plus a 1/2 " fuel tube and a cup or a screw.

If you have a leaky fuel line grommet from the central tank hole probably it wont leak in the right front tank hole ( wider tank wall in that area) so you can reuse some used fuel line grommets to repair a leaky stopper.
