4 months now, going on 5 waiting for an ah-1/jetcat exhaust....

Daniel (Canada) is doing his best so this "vent" isnt projected towards him, he's stuck in the middle, but vario themselves? im losing faith here..

anyone else have or had something on order thats disgustingly delayed? is this an isolated issue with this particular exhaust? or the service/parts in general?

the pht3 exhaust for the turbine cobra fuselage #7910

the actual exhaust part number is 791/16 but apparently it must be made of unubtainium

How about having TamJets make you a exhaust, they are double wall and outstanding quality. Worth every penny!

How many do you want?
I have 2 spare
They are the original ones so thicker wall
The newer ones are made of a thin SS foil

Vario Cobra twin wall?
Taylor, The Vario Cobra, was originally a Gasser
When Vario decided to market it as a turbine, the only fuel tank was the original petrol header tank
Took me a while with custom made tanks to get a 6 minute flight
there is not a lot of room for twin wall
I wraped mine in plumbers heat mat
never had a heat problem within the fuselage, only cooked a set of blades on start up once

taylor..
i had already called Tamjets.. they need me to send them the built fuse with the everything installed so they can mock up and build an exhuast from scratch.. the cost doesnt justify the means in the long run

Making my own exhaust
That is always a problem with custom exhaust, I fabricate my own, so much easier when you have the helicopter in front of you,
I have had varying success with copying wooden mockups
I went to my storage hangar today will post a photograph of the 2 spares I have

I live close to Tam but didn't have time to drive up to his place, I made a template and he sent back a perfect match and fit perfect! Nothing can compare to a double wall pipe, especially Tam's

This is the last one he did for me for a 430, absolute work of art!

Nothing can compare
Taylor, I find the statement, "nothing can compare, especially Tam's", unacceptable,
Unless you have seen everything in the world, that is available, then you can not judge
I know a few company's who will make custom SS exhaust's, albeit with a healthy premium (cost)
I have taught myself how to make my own SS work, I do not advertise, or fabricate to sell, but if someone asks I will try and oblige

I now fly turbine jets more than helicopters. Tam is a good friend and I go over to his house when I need something. Tam's pipes are the best, period. When the turbine jet owners want a good quality pipe they go see Tam. Tam is in a league of his own. The late Al Werth used to have Tam build the pipes for the turbine mechanics he used to sell for scale helicopters.

I do not fabricate exhausts for a living
The guy in the photo is building a 1/2 scale L39 Albatross, for a friend
The model is sold as single turbine
The owner decided for his own reasons to go for twin turbines
This setup is not available off the shelf
I was asked if I could do something?
I am fully retired, and my hobby is my passion, and a challenge something to look forwards to
These tubes are my effort, a full days work, and they were finished, the partial second skin will be made when these pipes are fitted in the model
Tam unfortunately lives thousands of miles away from us here in the UK, so realistically not an option
This post started off with Jim looking for, and finding from me, an exhaust for his Cobra
There was never any intention to knock what Tam does for a living, just a heads up there are other people in the world capable of doing the same type of work
