It's all good having a bright canopy all over so you can simply see the heli but which way round is it? What angle is it at?

I suppose it depends on how a person was taught to fly, I don't only use the canopy for orientation, I look at the whole helicopter,i am not a 3D pilot just simple f3C and scale at distance,so in a large circuit I looked at the disc, sometimes looked at the skids in a side on, tail etc.

I also mastered all my orientations in the hover within the old 10 meter FAI square,so there wasn't an angle I am uncomfortable with which helped when moving into large circuits, I could stop the heli at any orientation catch my breath and carry on. this was for right way up flying I also appreciate now with sims etc people learn differently today and some are not prepared to spend 6-8 months mastering angles in a hover.

I will say inverted is a different ball game and impressive when done smoothly but it is one I hardly do.

I can't reference a non-black windscreen canopy to save my a$$. Thirty years looking at a dark screen has that visual burned into my brain.
