Trying to decide on which goblin I am in the process of selling my 700n airframe but keeping my 90 engine, the intent was to use this to build a nitro goblin.
I have a KSE 700 and i love the smoothness of this heli, I am not a 3d pilot i like more smooth and graceful with some maneuversAs i look at videos of the goblin nitro all i see is 3d flying. Can the goblin fly smooth and graceful?Having to change it to 700 size adds to the cost and may not be worth itKen |

I'm a Vbar guy myself. I've not flown the ikon but most of the modern FBL systems offer a lot of programmability. You can pretty much make any heli fly how you want. I think any of the goblins will be a good platform for this. Just look at the versatility of the HPS3 head. On the KSE, it can fly as wild as you want it to go. The same rotor head on the Urukay makes for a super smooth FAI style flying.I think if you went 700 size on the nitro and take the time to tune the ikon, you would be very happy.I'm late to the goblin party but I can see they are so popular. I went in head first a just picked up an Urukay Comp and I love it. Honestly, it has totally resparked my love of the hobby and I am already planning my next goblin build.LouJust give me five dudes and two flashbangs... |

i purchased the bar neo for my three blade goblin and used it for two hover flights when i first got it together, that was very smooth the reason i removed it and installed the ikon was the way i had to setup my dx8 with a motor switch it was toooooo different for me and i could not get use to it. with the ikon i can set it up to work for meet is very smooth.I agree that you can probably set up most hell's to be smooth but i do think that some platforms are more suited for different flying styles, I do like the urkay very much but it is more money to build then what i would like to spend. |
