raptor 30 v1 flybarless conversion
I have a raptor 30 v1 with a flybarred head that I would like to convert to flybarless. I was wondering what heads I can use and where to get them?

thanks in advance for the help.

Your easiest option would be the TT FBL head conversion. See if skyhobby.com has one in stock.

Thanks guys!

Just checked skyhobby-they don't have any in stock but if they did, the price would be $558 plus shipping. That is out of my price range. Any other options?

Check this one out...It's for a 10 mm main shaft as best I can tell. I can't remember what the Rappy 30 uses HK has one for a little less but it doesn't come with a feathering shat as far as I can tell...Best of luck ..I really liked mine until my FBL unit killed my little rappy....

RJX is an option but you looked at the wrong part number for the TT head conversion. No way it costs that much.

Dr. Ben is right...
Ron Lund sold them for about $140..... too bad they are no longer available through them.....

Edit:: Looked around a bit and most places are showing them as "discontinued".....
Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

You'd need to change out the wash out arm links, but the Synergy E5 head can be had as a complete assembly too.

I emailed RJX to see if FL500kits-S would fit a raptor 30 and they never emailed me back. If would be great if someone knew for sure, as in, yes I installed this conversion kit on my raptor 30 and it flew great.if it doesn't fit, make it fit but don't force it.

Dr Ben, check it out yourself-kit #3926 lists for 3680 Yuan. 1 yuan is 15 cents. Do the math-over $550. Maybe they left out a decimal point??? In any event, sky hobby is out of stock so its academic-but interesting!if it doesn't fit, make it fit but don't force it.

I don't know. All myself and others know for a fact is that the head used to sell here in the States for less than $150.

The 'yuan ' is meant to be the New Taiwan Dollar not the Yuan of China.

Hope this helps.

Mystery solved!!

The Taiwan Yuan (dollar) is different than the Chinese Yuan and is worth 3.18377 cents. Doing the math, the conversion kit is $117.16. This is in my price range.

Thanks infarcted!!

It would be easier and cheaper just to buy a used modern airframe, you're working with a really dated airframe that by today's standards terrible by comparison. You can get like-new used airframes around that size for $150-$250 easy in the classifieds here or on other forums.Team Synergy Factory Specialist / Scorpion / Thunder Power / Byron's Fuels

Or you could make your own . . .

Arms BK0006, BK0016, and links are from the original kit.
The 2.5mm holes are for 2.5mm bolts to hold the unit onto the main rotor hub.
