Well, I managed to get a coat of clear down and the result was not good. It is a water based urethane and went on just like water, got a big sag on the rear on both sides, ugh! I wet sanded the areas and have a little paint touch up then the 2k clear automotive urethane that I know works to be applied. Frustrated with that part for now I decided to see if I can actually paint anything, so I got on the main blades, they turned out nice.
Now for the tail the question is, paint the blades, grips and hub, or just the blades. I'm afraid of the paint not adhering to the plastic grips.

I did manage to get this little 3 blade head working. I had to fabricate a blade phasing clamp that will tighten down without breaking the screw and e-phased the blades with the ar7200bx. Flew it yesterday 2 times in about 8 kts wind, handled it good. A little something or other should arrive soon to outfit it.

I didn't crash. I just ran out of airspeed, altitude, and ideas all at the same time!

i paint it all. i dont even take the hub apart anymore like i used to. just spray primer then spray the paint. rustoleum works great for all that. i do slide a piece of fuel tubing over the balls where the links snap onto to protect that from paint but everything else gets sprayed.drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft

I like that idea using fuel tubing on the balls. I always used tape. What a pain in the butt to remove later if you don't fold the end over. I will have to try it on mr 2 next rotor heads.
Thanks
Dan

Ok, it looks like red hub and grips, white blades with a couple of red stripes on the tip it is then!
I just checked the balance on the main blades after painting. 2 blades needed help to get the bubble between the lines. A few squirts of blade color instead of tape and all good.

Ok, I got the main blades, and tail rotor and blades painted. Today I touched up the blue and then still not wanting a super shiny finish, I used Minwax polycrylic semi gloss water based urethane through my spray gun on an old 450 fuselage that I had wet sanded a while back and I couldn't make it run, it goes on and stays in place! It was warm this afternoon, storms coming tonight so I went ahead and shot the clear again. Now I am happy

It looks darker in the photos.

Carpet, door and wall treatments. lining the inside with felt. The thought being that it will muffle the noise down a little. If not, at least it looks good.

Yaaaa (drooling), I was looking at that. That is amazing! What mechanics and where do the batteries go? My cockpit is a little under scale due to the batteries under the floor board but, next one. I need to learn 3d printing I guess.

Hi Ron
Glad the light tips worked out for you.
As for my back. Still hurts and I can’t even touch the area. Doc said this is normal after all the cutting they did. Thanks for asking

Hey Roy, I had 2 back surgeries 2 weeks apart. That was 14 months ago. I still get little reminders just by moving wrong or something I will get a little nerve jolt down there. At least I am still upright and walking.
I spent all day yesterday cutting and polishing the windscreen inside and out to get all the scratches out and compounding fuselage. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter!

WOW!! just looked at the ah6 website. They show four different scale detail parts kits. One is for a plane Jane 500 that would really dress up the cockpit of any 600 size H500. hmmmm Roy Mayoral

That is an awesome website. The prices are reasonable compared to others that want $75.00 for a single seat. No wonder they are out of stock.

I want it all! LOL. Just a little too late in this build. I would do another only with a 550 instead of a 600 pro. That would give more cabin space up front. The thing that I don't like about Funkey is the brown windows. I was able to fit (just barely) a windscreen from Roban. The clamps to hold it while glue was drying cost more than the window lol.

You will have more space in the front by using a E pro just remove the battery slider tray. plus you can put your battery inside the frame.

Oh, I removed the battery slider tray and still whacked off some of the frame. It fits good now. I guess if you are going to dedicate an airframe then modify it to work.
