I haet splel chock!
So, I decided that it needs to have cable cutters on it. Someone said that “Styrene is the greatest modeling material known to man” so I picked up a sheet of 2mm to play around with. This is cool stuff, I found a web site that has all different sizes and shapes hmmm.

Well, after a lot of fidgeting and dry clamping, I finally glued the windscreen in. Need to work on the center section but, I am very happy with the fit being that the glass is from a different mfg.

This styrene stuff is pretty cool and easy to work with.
It is starting to look good now as the nose never did fit right from the beginning. The cross bracing had to be cut out and remade as it was too long with the stock windscreen. It shortened up a little with the Roban glass. Drip rails over the doors turned out good.

Got my 4 blade tail unit and couldn't resist a mock up. The rest of the parts for the main rotor showed up today so time to get the mechanics ready.

I finally finished the mechanics and tie strapped on some skids.
I have 3 flights on it and no problems at 1300 head speed. The 4 blade tail with 95mm blades holds perfect. Now if I can find time to finish fuse.

Riviting
Ok, so I am giving this riveting thing a go. I am using the SSSFRS and I hope that they are not too small, they are .050 holes. They look smaller when the tape is pulled. This is a 600 size fuselage and they look very subtle in all of the photos I have looked at so...

Ok, so it has been a little while but the Dalton event has put a bug in my a$$ to get going again. So, I test flew the mechanics a few times before Dalton so I stuffed them in the fuselage and flew it a couple of times over the weekend. The 4 blade tail has plenty of authority as the trex tail drive is geared too low even with the speed up mod.
So getting the fuse ready for paint I need to get the lighting system installed. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for a skid tip light assembly, the inside dia. of the skid tube is 9.35mm. 3D printed maybe?

Thanks, Ron

Maiden Flight
Thanks Roy, that is just what I was looking for. I got some footage of the maiden flight. It was done with an I phone and got a little pixilated for some reason so I will have the good camera this weekend as it needs some vbar tuning. It gets a little exiting at around 5:40.
